Lara's POV
Race dragged me out of the club. We then got into his car and started driving.
He looked so serious. Just looking straight into the road. We spent minutes without talking and finally I broke the silence.
"Ah,...Salamat pala kanina." napayuko kong sabi
"For what?" nagtatakang tanong ng binata
"For getting me out of there." naalala ko na naman yung nangyari. napasandal na lang ako sa headrest ng upuan. Mabuti na lamang nandun si Race dahil kung hindi baka tumakbo na ako kay Jake at niyakap sya.
"Don't mention it." mabilis na sagot ng binata at nagbigay sakin ng matipid na ngiti
Tahimik na naman kami. Tanging kanta lamang sa radyo ang maririnig mo sa loob ng sasakyan. Wala naman ako maisip na pagusapan kaya't pinili ko na lamang na tumingin sa may bintana.
Jake's POV
Flashback...
Victoria and I got invited by our friend's club's grand opening. We both knew him from high school kaya naman close kami dito. Victoria called me yesterday to tell me about the event. I really don't have any plans of going pero mapilit talaga si Victoria kaya ito ako ngayon sa club kasama ang barkada at nagiinuman. We are in one of the VIP tables here in the back. We've been here for a few hours now kaya medyo marami na sa amin ang nakainom.
"Hey Jake! Why aren't you drinking?" Victoria asked me. By the looks of it. I know she's drunk already. She can barely stand up let alone have another drink. After she found out that I broke up with Lara, she's been contacting me often. We would hang out and do things together. It's felt like the old days. When we used to be neighbors. Since our family are friends, I grew up with her and we got really close. Until that day we realize this was more than friendship. I can say, I'm happy. I think I am.
"No, I'm fine with this. I'm still driving you home so I can't drink that much."
sagot ko naman sa kanya
"Party pooper!" and she stuck her tongue out like she's making fun of me.
I just shook my head and watched her go to the dance floor and started to dance. As I was looking around, I saw someone. "Is that Lara?" I asked myself.
"Nah. She doesn't go to these places." and decided to walk to the bathroom.
It was really dark and foggy when I came out. As I was making my way back to our table, I saw Victoria. Her face looked mad as she was facing a guy. I was about a few steps away when I heard their conversation.
"How dare you push my girl?" The guy yelled at Victoria while looking at her seriously.
