"You're mad! You are actually mad!" Sera shouted over the waves. Lenora was gasping for air. She was barely staying afloat. "What in your thick skull made you think we could have survived that!" Sara held onto Lenora as the waves got rougher.
"Sera! Please take it off take it off!" Lenoras head fell under the current. Sera panicked. Take what off?! Lenora was crawling at her chest plate. Sera gasped. It's weighing her down. Right. Save the Queen now. Kill her later. Her shaking hands fumbled with the lace of the chest plate before it finally released.
Lenora floated easier. One problem solved. Now how were they going to get to shore? The current and the storm were taking them further away from Dragonstone, yes. But it was also taking the two girls away from shore. "Fuck!" Lenora shouted as she turned in every which way. She couldn't see any land.
Sera felt like puking. She was going to die. Maybe she was going to drown, or freeze to death. Maybe a shark or other sea creature would drag them underwater and eat their bodies.
Lenora gripped onto Sera. "A ship! Look a ship!" The two stared off to the east. A ship was swaying in the wind. It was coming closer and closer.
"You are not Queen Lenora." Lenora snapped her gaze to Sera. "And I am not your handmaiden Sera. You are Lara, and I am Sabrina. You're my sister by law."
"Where are you going with this?"
"Listen! Bad men could be on the ship. They could be rapist or murders. If they find our you're the queen it'll put you in danger."
Lenora looked at Sera with a glint in her eye. "Genuis. Continue." Lenoras arms started to ache as she swung them around to keep her afloat.
"Your brother, Vernon. Was taking us across the sea to esos. When we got attacked by pirate merchants. We jumped off the side while they were distracted and now we are here."
The two stared at each other. They would not die today. The boats shadow casted over them, a rope was thrown over. "You first." Lenora grabbed the rope and pushed it to Sera.
The blonde took it greatfully and began to pull herself up. Lenora right behind her. The climb was a struggle. The cold air was hitting their soaking skin while the rain made it hard for them to see how far they had to go. When they reached the top Lenora pushed Seras but and sent her onto deck. She started to climb again when a pair of hands gripped her shoulders and pulled her over.
She hit the deck hard, Sera lay still next to her as a sword pushed itself lightly to her neck. "Bloody hell?" Lenora muttered. This was not what she was expecting.
