"So you run this place now?" Melissa walked side by side with Jemma and Polly. "Impressive."
Jemma rolled her eyes at the compliment. "I didn't do anything to be given this position."
"That may be true." Polly hooked her arm around Jemmas. "People will judge you for that. But what is done is done. Now you have to impress all the underground lords and ladies with your amazing criminal activities."
Melissa laughed and Polly. "Shes right, Jemma. It doesn't matter how you go this position. It's what you will do with all this power." The blonde checked over her shoulders, making sure their guards weren't in ear shot. "Maybe you can ask you know who about a lesson or two. You know since she has some experience."
Melissa was right. Lenora ruled the seven kingdoms without any conflicts arising. However short that may be, it still counts for something. Jemma made a mental note to ask the once queen questions later.
For now, the three girls entered the brothel that was connected to the establishment. The guards stayed behind the door as they were ordered, so the women inside weren't uncomfortable.
The women were all laying around, it was early and the morning and they had closed the entire establishment yesterday in respect to Amir. Also so Jemma could learn everything she needed to keep this place up and running.
Around the room, multiple of the women were doing multiple different things. Some were still asleep, a group were huddled around gossiping and brushing each others hair. A few were tucked into a corner... doing things.
Jemma cleared her throat to get everyone's attention. "Hello ladies." The women froze and looked to Jemma. They were scared, they just hoped she was as nice as Amir was or they were all going to need to find new jobs. "How's everyone holding up?"
One of the women smiled at Jemma. "Were fine dear." She was one of the older women but her hair was still as fiery as the sun. "What could we do for you?"
"Its what we could do for you actually, were under going fixing this establishment up and you ladies are first on our list."
The red head was shocked. Shocked that Jemma was actually doing something (unlike Amir who would only visit them when he wanted to have some fun, not that they minded however) and she was shocked Jemma was making them a priority.
"Well we do have a few complaints." She wanted to act serious and professional but she's never had anyone who would listen to her complaints before. "We need new cushions. These have stains that even a dozen mid wives wouldn't be able to clean."
