This is awkward.

Lenora for once agreed with the voice. "Pretend I was never here." Lenora stepped back and shut the door behind her. First day at sea and she already wanted to go back home. Walking in on one of her knights touching himself was not what she was expecting.

"Your Grace!" Sera frantically ran up to
Lenora. "I've been looking for you- why does your face look like that? Are you ill?" Sera felt her face with the back of her palm.

Lenora grabbed her hands and led her to her cabin. "I just saw something I wish I hadn't seen. That's all. What is it? Something wrong?"

Sera made sure the door was closed before taking a deep breath. "I'm.. early." Sera frowned at the confusion on Lenoras face. "For my period."

"Oh." Lenora laughed nervously. "When you ushered me in here I thought someone had died."

If Sera was a lady or a princess she would scolded Lenora for her attitude. Lenora noticed the blush and frown on Sera. "Oh. I'm sorry is this serious?" Lenora looked around and grabbed a barrel. "I've came prepared. No worries."

Sera sighed in relief and thankfully took the clean rag from Lenora. She looked down at her feet. "What shall I do with my undergarments?"

Lenora looked at the small window. "Just toss it out. Unless you need them?" The handmaiden nodded after a moment. "No worries. Just change here and I'll be back in a moment."

The Queen shut the door behind her and five minutes later a rapid knock was heard. "May I come in?"

"Yes?" Sera was confused. She's the Queen she could do anything.

The handmaiden smiled at her Queen when she entered the door on wobbly feet. "Right." Lenora held up a bucket full of fresh water and rags. "Scrubbing time."

By sunrise Lenora, her handmaiden and a dozen knights arrived at dragonstone. Lenora looked up at the castle and dreaded the walk ahead of her. Did she really need to go up all those steps just to plead with her uncle not to murder her and her entire family.

I'm glad I don't have legs.

Lenora rolled her eyes at the voice. One of these days she's going to need to talk to it.

Four knights, a woman dressed in all red and a man who Lenora was assuming was a war advisor greated them on the shore. Lenora tried not to laugh as she watched Sera trudging through the sand.
