Shortly after everyone finally left Lenora alone in her room another knock came through. She had sent one of the guards off so there was only Milton standing outside the door. She opened the door to see Jon Snow.

"Your Grace." He bowed his head.

"Jon. How are you?" She held the door open slightly and motioned for him to come in.

He smiled at Lenora. "I'm well. Your Grace." He pulled his gloves off and sat down at the table while Lenora poured him wine. "Sansa told me about your proposal."

Lenora froze. "And?"

"I do not approve."

"Why is that?" Lenora placed the goblet of wine in front of Jon.

He gave her a look. "She has had enough of forced marriages-"

Lenora laughed. "I am not forcing Sansa to do anything. I've asked for her hand to protect her. I would soon rather cut my hand off than lay one on her."

"Protect her how?"

Plopping down across from Jon, Lenora rolled up her right sleeve. "Did Sansa tell you about this?"

He leaned forward to see the infection on her forearm. "I don't recall."

She avoided looking at him, she did not want to die but she sure didn't want anyone's pity over it. "It's an infection. From a God... I'm not going to live to be old and gray."

Jon looked up at Lenora. "I'm sorry-"

"Don't be." She cut him off. "It's not your fault. My demise is prominent, no need to whine about it. I'll drink my wine and live the rest of my life as best I can. I don't want to leave the kingdoms in ruin as my father did, so I'm trying my best to set everything up for the future."

"That's very smart of you." He looked down at the infection. "Why did you not try to amputate the arm? Surely it should have stopped the infection from spreading?"

Without a word, Lenora took the dagger off her belt and raised it then brought it down on her arm. The dagger dug slightly into her arm, not even enough to need stitches.

Pulling it out, the small cut it left behind healed immediately. "We tried. Hundreds of times, it just never went through. God's magic I suppose."

Jon looked at her arm in amazement. "Well, that's interesting. So what are your plans for my sister then?" He didn't care much for Lenora, despite what Sansa has told him. He wanted to keep her safe.
