The two realms above all the others are the Alpha and Beta realms. These realms are occupied by the alpha and beta gods- sworn enemies.
The Alpha gods are immortal beings that possess magic. Their magic gave them two abilities: placing curses and bestowing blessings. The beta gods on the other hand are immortal beings too but they possess no magic. Instead, they have great physical abilities of speed, strength, agility and more.
The beta gods are the gods responsible for the creation of the humans. At the time, every beta god was entitled to the creation of a single mortal. The mortals they created would live their own lives in their own world- the mortal realm. Every beta god created his/her mortal in their own image. So, before the mortal war began, every god in the beta realm had a mortal version themself in the mortal realm.
After creating the mortals, all the beta gods lost their immortality and their realm fell from the sky. This was because in order to give life to the mortals, the gods had to share part of their own. This created a link between the gods and their mortal clones and because of this link, the gods and their mortals unknowingly live the exact same life but in different realms.
...there is more.
The king and queen of the mortals were only the mortal versions of the king and queen of the beta gods. So, because of the link they shared with their gods, when the king of the mortals died, the king of the beta gods regained his immortality. More than that, he also gained the memories of his mortal version. However, after regaining his immortality, the beta king would disappear never to be heard from again.
...but more on that later.
The mortals had barely finished grieving their king before their queen had also passed on. Following the death of her mortal version, the queen of the beta gods would also regain her immortality and the memories of her mortal clone. she would then wage the war against the mortals in order to give immortality back to her people. She believed that if all the beta gods became immortal again then the beta realm might ascend back into the sky. All they had to do...was kill the mortals that they had just created.
When her mortal version was killed, the god version of Reina Reeves regained her immortality. She also gained the memories of her mortal version's life.
Because of their link, her mortal life should have been similar to hers.
However, unlike any other god and mortal, Reina's two lives moved in different directions. After the death of her parents in the mortal realm, Reina counted Shade, Ophelia and the twins as her family. However, in the beta realm, the only person she counted as family other than the queen...was Ophelia. This was because Shade, and the twins, did not exist as gods in the beta realm and they never have.
But more on that later.
The main difference between gods and humans wasn't only about the difference in age or the physical abilities...it was also about the emotions. Gods didn't feel emotions like humans did. So, when the god version of Reina received the memories of her mortal self, she received all her mortal emotions too. These were emotions of love for her mortal family.
...love so strong that it would completely change her will.
It was as if her mortal personality dominated over her actions through the inheritance of her new memories. And it was because of this that Reina came back to save her friends.
...
One of the more important realms within the cosmos is the light realm. The light realm is one of the two elven realms in the cosmos. It is a realm inhabited by the pure elves. The pure elves are magical beings of nature, they exist outside the reach of all the other realms. Entry into the light realm is only possible through an invitation from a pure elf. The pure elves do not interfere in the lives of the other beings around the cosmos...
...however, soon...they would be forced to.
