The bell finally rang signalling the end of a boring, annoying, tight and stressful school week and the beginning of an interesting weekend.
Of course everyone knows about the couple's birthday collabo and were eager to attend; those invited; the cool kids and friends, only.
School went pretty slow and would have been totally boring if not for the fight that ensued between two boys. It was massive but no one knew the cause.
A teacher was called in time before the fight could get more bloody. The two boys were taken to the vice principal's office and that was the end of the incident.
Amber, with a friend approached her cousin who was sitting on the stairs obviously waiting for the students to disperse and go home so she can start her detention.
She had a lollipop in her mouth and was looking as plain as ever.
“ Jeez Bails! ”, Amber exclaimed approaching her. “ What happened to you?! You look horrible. ” she said finally reaching her.
Bailey looked up at her dryly. “ I should be asking you that. You sound horrible trying to be dramatic. ” she retorted.
Amber escort chuckled from at the foot of the stairs. Amber shot her a glare. The girl rolled her eyes but kept shut.
“ You're just jealous of my voice ” Amber said. “ Anyway, I'll be coming over to pick you an outfit for the party which you'd be attending. Bye. Have fun at detention. ”.
She pulled down her beanie to her nose bridge and ran down the stairs avoiding her cousin's legs.
Bailey finally pulled up her beanie and caught her cousin blowing her a kiss almost at the door.
She grimaced with a playful eyeroll then she looked away. She properly arranged her beanie and made her way to the detention hall. She wore her school bag and bounced down the stairs.
She saw a couple of boys, three of them in a corner. They were discussing in hushed tones. It was obvious to her that they're gossiping. So boys do gossip?, She mentally mused.
She didn't see the boys faces and didn't care. It wasn't her business. But from the color of their blazers she could decipher that they're seniors like her.
She entered the detention hall with eyes staring.
“ Good afternoon Miss. ”, Bailey greeted the supervisor. The woman acknowledged with a silent, curt nod.
Bailey took her seat and bowed her head. She was glad this was the last day. She was so bored.
The door was opened noisily and three boys entered after, noisily as well. Bailey recognized just two of them; Papi – the dude whom she insulted when he tried flirting with her, then her cousin warned about. And Ethan. She doesn't know the other one at all but they were all amongst Builder's High bad boys.
They noisily took their seats in different places; Papi was diagonally behind her, Ethan in front and the other guy two seats beside her.
They all said nothing.
Bailey bowed her head again but rose it again after few minutes. The tension was too much.
What's up with her?! She asked herself.
She looked around and spotted a girl staring at her. She looked like one of those Goldilocks; blonde hair, blue eyes, she was wearing a yellow hoodie, brown pleated skirt, white pantyhose and cream-yellow converse.
Why on Earth is she in a detention hall?! Bailey quizzed. What's her offense? Being pretty?
But, yet her innocent appearance might just be a facade. Chameleons everywhere.
