Early that morning, Bailey killed her alarm clock. Literally. It was annoying that she barely had enough sleep and the damned alarm clock had the guts to blare in her ear.
Well, that's over with. The clock's dead and she needs to get a new one.
After her normal morning routine of bathing, dressing up: black sweat shirt, black straight pants and white converse. She had breakfast and rode on her motorcycle off to school.
She trusted Marietta enough with her mum. And she trusted herself more with her vow. To kill both Marietta and Sean if anything happens to her mom.
She got to school quite early and met Amber talking to Lily by their usual locker spot. She joined them.
“ Wassup Bailey? ” Lily greeted.
“ Cool. ” Bailey replied with a fist bump. “ And you? ”
“ I look fine, don't I ? ” she replied with sass. “ I'm good. ” she added.
Bailey rolled her eyes with a small smile.
“ Sup berries. ” she greeted her cousin.“ Bails. How was your night? ”
“ Manageable. ” Bailey replied.
The bell rang masking up Bailey's dull tone.
“ Bye fellas. See you during break? ”
“ Sure. ” the cousins chorused.
Everyone headed to their classes of their respective departments: Arts, Commerce, Pure Science and Technological science.
In class, Pure Science. Bailey was looking around for the asshat with her school bag.
“ Bailey Everstone! ” she heard a male voice call out. “ I'm looking for a Bailey Everstone. ”
“ Hey! Call that name with respect! ” Bailey snapped.
The dude turned about and stared at face-to-face with her.
Bailey was met with a pair of mesmerizing light brown eyes. Coconut or caramel? She mentally quizzed.
“ I believe this is yours? ” he said.
“ Yeah. Toss it over. ”
He did with lack of regard and respect. He literally threw it.
“ Motherfucker. ” Bailey said catching her bag. She dusted it as if to remove dirt. “ I hope you took good care of
it? ”. She threw his bag at him, harder than he threw hers.He caught it with a smirk. “ I don't know. I just tossed it aside wherever, when I found out it wasn't mine. ”
“ Remind me to do worse when I get my hands on your bag again. ” Bailey said serious.
J.hayden's smirk morphed into a small smile. “ Sure. ” he said.
Bailey rolled her eyes and took her seat.
Almost immediately, the teacher came in. Calculus.
“ Good morning sir. ” the class greeted.
