Immediately the cousins got home, Bailey, without warning rushed out of the car to a nearby gutter to puke.
Gosh! She hates car rides; they make her sick. Her present headache only worsened her state.
Amber immediately rushed to her aid, pulling back her hair.
" Are we sure that you shouldn't go to a hospital? " Amber asked. The panic and dread still coursed through her veins.
Bailey spat out whatever was stuck in her mouth. It didn't all come out. " Water. I need water. "
" There should be a bottle of water in the car... " Amber blurted rushing to get it. " Here. "
" Hold it... Look away. What I'm about to do isn't for children. " Bailey said sticking her index and middle finger deep down her throat.
She ignored the gag reflex coming in after each push of her fingers. She mentally counted to five and immediately pulled out on the last count.
Gastric juices and semi-solid fluids; whatever she ate, immediately gushed out of her mouth. She didn't stop until she felt it was all out.
Amber just stood in disgust and shock. She never knew anyone could manipulate their body in this manner.
After a moment she began to gag herself. The smell was horrible.
" Here! ", She handed Bailey the bottle of water and stepped back herself to find some breathable air.
Bailey weakly eyed her cousin. " And you want to become a doctor. "
Amber rolled her eyes. She couldn't believe her cousin. Is this someone that was almost raped? Or looked close to a coma?
She watched her cousin wash her mouth with the water and spit it out.
" Here, ", she handed Amber back the empty bottle which was subconsciously collected by the latter. " You can go return the car to Tiffany. Thanks. ". Bailey began walking to her house.
Amber had a twisted look. Staring in-between the empty bottle in her hand and her retreating cousin who was walking like something that isn't in her mental dictionary... How does she still manages to keep balance?
I think she's still intoxicated.
" Are you sure you are okay? " Amber said. " You might need medical check-up. "
" From you? " Bailey said turning her head to look at her cousin. " I'll be fine as I said. All I need is a shower, food and sleep. Thanks, you've done enough. Now leave before I change my mind. ". Bailey said.
Anger, relief, hurt, mixed emotions flooded in Amber's heart as she heard those words from her cousin's mouth. She expected them. She's just glad it didn't come out as harsh and cold as she imagined.
She knew she was not entirely at fault for what happened but she was somehow at fault. Moreso she gave her word, ' everything would be fine. '
" Sleep tight. I'll call the first thing tomorrow morning. If you like ignore my calls. " Amber managed to say.
Bailey didn't say anything as she she staggered to her house straight to her bathroom.
Amber was still outside trying to rinse off the vomit from the gutter sides into the drainage hole.
After staying a while- to monitor, but the house was silent as a cemetery. With a sigh, she started the borrowed Porsche and drove to Tiffany's garage.
She was too emotionally exhausted to go greet her friend. So she sent a thank you text, saying she's returned the car and that she'll see her the next day; Which is Saturday.
