Austins POV

I kissed Ava. I mean it was so in the moment. The kiss.. it also felt different from the others. I cant believe i kissed her. Though, im glad i did.

At first she didnt kiss back. So, i tightened my hand on her chin. Giving it a light squeeze. She finally kissed back but we didnt kiss for long until she pulled away. A smile crept on my lips as we looked into eachothers eyes.

"A-Austin.." She muttered and i could tell she was shocked and surprised. Before i could reply she got up walked out. I sat there on her bed starring at the cold wooden floors. My hand came up and lightly brushed over my lips. They tingled and it still felt as though her lips were still there.

I wonder if she even liked the kiss. Was she mad at me for doing it? Was it right? Well, it sure felt right to me.

All these questions and thoughts were running wild in my head. I was nervous to face her again.

What if i ruined everything?

I already did. I told Alex the kiss meant nothing... when really, i was just scared. I was scared i mightve been falling for my childhood bestfriend. I never thought this day would come but right when i kissed her today.. i knew almost immediantly that i am falling for Ava Nicole Miller.

Ava's POV

I finally kissed Austin back but then i felt this tingly feeling on my lips.. so i pulled away. We looked into eachothers eyes and i almost felt a bond between us.. a close close bond. Not like the one before.. more of a relationship bond and that scared me.. so i quickly got up and walked out, leaving Austin sitting on the bed.

I skipped down the steps awkwardly entering the kitchen. Everyone stopped their conversations and looked up as i sat back down at my chair.

"Err.. sorry. I had to uh.. use the toilet. Continue" I tried smile and eat my food again but for some reason i lost my appetite.

"Wheres Austin?" Michelle asked before taking a sip of her water.

"He.. had to use the toilet after me" I nodded and i could feel Alex's stare into the side of my head. He knew i had been lying. He knew it.

Shortly after that Austin came back into the kitchen. He sat back down by me. The awkwardness was so thick you couldnt even cut it with scissors. I looked everyone but Austin. Although i could tell he snuck quick peaks at me.

Dinner was finally done and as i was about to exit the kitchen until Sue tapped me.

"Say goodbye to Austin and Michelle" She smiled and turned to put her dish in the sink. I just stood there nodding slowly.

"Bye Ava!!" Michelle chirped from behind me. I turned swiftly and walked up to the petite woman giving her a gentle hug.

"Thanks for coming" I smiled and turned to smile awkwardly at Austin. To my surprise he hugged me tightly. I didnt really get to hug back due to the fact he was sqeezing me to death.

"Call me tonight.." He whispered in my ear only so i could hear. We pulled away and i nodded pushing a strand of hair behind my ear as i blushed... WAIT WHAT? No Ava stop blushing. Stoooopp.

Austin just winked and im assuming he saw my rosy red cheeks. Great.

Michelle and Austin finally left after we all said goodbye. I heard the click-clack of dishes and i immediantly knew Sue was cleaning. Adam scurried off to his room after a quick goodbye and Alex stayed in the living room. I turned to go through the living room quick not to interrupt Alex
