I woke up the next morning, excited to go to school I normally don't get excited to go to school but the prospect of seeing Jake makes it worth it.

I go to my bathroom and get a shower, blow dry my hair and put some waves into it, do my makeup, and pick out my outfit.

Today I decide to go with black skinny jeans, and a white and black t-shirt and my black converse. I sit and wait to hear Elizabeth text me as I scurry down the steps where my mother is making breakfast for my dad.

She looks over at me and says "Slow down Mel, where's the fire?" Letting out a slight chuckle.

I wince "Sorry mom just excited to get to school."

She raises her eyebrow "What's got you so excited?" She makes a face like a light bulb went off "Is it a boy!?"

I quickly kill the idea "No mom!"

She shrugs "If you say so."

As if on cue I'm saved by the bell or ding rather with a text from Lizzie telling me she's here I scurry out the door and yell over my shoulder to my mom "Lizzie is here I'm leaving love you!"

My mom yells back "Love you too dear, have a good day at school."

I run out the door and it slams shut behind me and I jog to her car, hop in and shut the door. I decided to get a ride with her to ask about Mr. Hilton.

She looks over at me "Good morning pretty lady"

I let out a chuckle "Good morning"

She says in a mocking childish tone "You gonna see your 'lover boy' today?" Making sure to put emphasis on lover boy.

I let out a nervous laugh "Yeah, but i don't think he's going to continue this, us."

She gives me a comforting smile "You can't think like that."

I sigh "But that's what I believe and think."

She sighs too, "Maybe talk to him about maybe taking things slow? I mean, think about it, you guys hooked up the night you met."

I rolls my eyes, "I know that Liz, but I didn't think I'd see him again."

She snickers "I don't think he was either."

I look out the window "Yeah, judging by the way his eyes popped out of his head."

Lizzie uses an assuring tone, "Just talk to him Mel, maybe it will work out."

I sit back in my seat and stare out the window "Maybe." And we rode the rest of the way in school in a comfortable silence.

We get to school and she parks, we go to our lockers and get what we need and walk towards English Mr. Hiton's class. I walk in and take my seat and wait.

The bell rings and students file in. Everyone takes their seats and class starts. Mr. Gorgeous stands up, "Okay class today we are officially starting class yesterday was a basic first day nothing all that important. Today, we dive in starting with refresher courses. Like, verbs, nouns, and such. I assume since your seniors you should know, but I assume a few of you didn't always listen." He raises a brow which gets some chuckles from students.

The way he smoothly speaks gets to me how everything he says just rolls off his tongue so perfectly. I need to snap out of it I'm in class! I listen as he continues his lecture I watch the minutes tick by, moving too slowly for my liking. Then just when I think I can't take hearing his sexy voice much longer, there's 5 minutes left and we start getting our things ready for next class.

The bell rings and the students file out, I walk over to Mr. Hilton, as soon as the room is empty, I start talking

"Mr. Hilton?"

He looks up for a brief moment, then back down at his class planner, "Yes Miss Fairbanks?"

"Melinda."

He looks up, "What?"

I look into his eyes "You said 'Miss Fairbanks' after what happened a few nights ago I think you can call me by my name."

He sighs "Melinda, lower your voice."

I look around "Oh, sorry."

Without breaking eye contact he continues "Anyway, what can I help you with?"

I ask sheepishly "Can we talk? Like actually talk?"

He looks at me with a look I can't make out "We do need to figure things out."

I look at him "Yeah we do."

He writes something down then hands it to me "Here's my cell phone number. We'll discuss it later."

I give him a small smile "Thank you."

He smiles back "You're welcome."

I walk out as students walk in I make it to my next class just in time.
