The next week was basically the same as Tomoko's first, conscious, day in Izuku's apartment. Though she had been slowly getting better. They had also been talking more. One day Izuku was taking the day off.
Tomoko: "Midoriya, Inever asked but, how old are you?"
Izuku raised an eyebrow at her questions but decided to answer anyway.
Izuku: "I'm 16, young I know but what's done is done. Why'd you wanna know?"
Tomoko: "I was just curious that's all, it's not everyday that you get saved by a teenage assassin."
The green haired buy chuckled at how absurd it sounded when said out loud.
Izuku: "I guess you're right about that Shiretoko. Anyway I'd say you're ready to leave tomorrow, considering your recovery is almost complete. You can walk with minimal difficulty, your stamina seems to be almost back to how it was, and your headaches are completely gone."
While he talked, Tomoko could only agree, until she remembered the one thing that wouldn't come back.
Tomoko: "Yeah, almost perfect. I just wish Search was still here though."
She looked down in sadness as she said this, but then to her surprise, Izuku hugged her. Usually it would just be a warm hand on her shoulder or a reassuring phrase, not a full on hug. He only spoke after he let go and backed off.
Izuku: "I know nothing will replace it but you're still my ally. And you're the first person I could actually call my friend in years. If you need anything just call me or come visit, I'll always make time for my friends and allies, I swear it."
This small speech caused Tomoko to tear up and hug the boy, whispering thank you in-between quiet sobs. She then asked him a question.
Tomoko: "I know it might reveal who you are, so you don't have to accept but, do you think you could come with me to thw WWP agency? You don't have to stay just drop me off."
Izuku gently removed her arms from around him, she may have been recovering for a week, but that doesn't mean she wasn't strong anymore, in fact, he could barely breath. He also gently pushed her away so they could talk face to face.
Izuku: "Okay I'll come, but I will be bringing a hidden blade just in case. If your teammates figure out who I am, I will fight. None of them will die I promise, but I can't guarantee they'll get out of a fight unscathed."
Tomoko then nodded and verbally accepted his terms, knowing that an Assassin without blades, is like a fish out of water.
The rest of the day was a blur for green haired friends, Tomoko was excited to go back to see her teammates and friends, while Izuku was more worried about whether or not he should bring more than a hidden blade, but he decided against it. He was also worried about what the WWP would think of him just as a friend to Tomoko. She was the first one he'd had in years, and he wasn't ready to let her go. She had noticed his worried looks and told him that no matter what happened, she would be proud to call him her friend.
The Next Day
It was time, Tomoko was going back, and with a friend too. She was so excited that it leaked over to Izuku and washed away some of his doubts. The train ride to the station closest to the agency was 2 hours. After that they had to hike through miles of forest to get to the agency, which took another three hours, but finally, they made it to the building.
Tomoko went over to the front door of their on-site living quarters to find it locked. She knocked but no one answered. Izuku the stepped up and attempted to shoulder charge the door, it didn't budge. Since they couldn't get in through there they opted to just sit in the agency building itself. But to spite the other members if the WWP for locking the door to their living quarters, Tomoko and Izuku spent, way too much time locking everything they could get their hands on. When they were done they locked themselves in the office of the WWP, Tomoko sat at her old desk on the left while Izuku sat at Pixie-Bob's desk on the right.
The Pussycats were returning after an eventful day. They were tired but knew what happened when paperwork wasn't done so the begrudgingly decided to do that first. Mandalay went to open the front door of the agency, only to find it locked.
From the perspective of Tomoko and Izuku it sounded like chaos. And it all started when they heard the front door break open. Then the rest of the agency soon followed, if they didn't know any better, the duo would've thought a villain was attacking. After about 15 minutes of crashing and breaking the door to the office soon came crashing down and the Pussycats entered to see their missing friend, and a random green haired teenager, laughing their asses off.
Mandalay: *Yelling* "What the hell is wrong with the two of you!?"
Izuku: "It's not our fault you locked the living quarters door."
After half an hour of yelling and screaming, the Pussycats finally calmed down enough to start questioning.
Tiger: "Shiretoko, how are you here, who is he? Oh he must be the one who left us those messages."
Izuku: "Yeah that's me. Izuku Midoriya at your service. I found Shiretoko after that big fight was over in an alley. I think the wind pressure flung her away from the area. Ever since then she's been with me slowly getting better. She's almost fit to go back into the field again if you ask me, but that's up to her, not us."
The three active members of the WWP thanked him for taking care of Tomoko for so long. Then Pixie-Bob spoke up.
PB: "It's getting dark now, why don't you stay the night here, we have an extra bed."
The worried look that flashed across the faces of the two wasn't missed by the remaining WWP. Mandalay talked next.
Mandalay: "Why the worry? Is there something you don't want us to know?"
Izuku: "No I just don't want impose on you all."
This seemed to satisfy the Pussycats. They led the two to the quarters. They all fell asleep peacefully that night. Except for Izuku and Tomoko who were panicking about how the plan didn't involve Izuku sleeping over at the agency.
