Nearly a month had passed since Izuku and the others broke Lady Nagant out of Tartarus and began their fight against the Templars. The small group Izuku had recruited managed to keep him updated, and even cracked the medallions he gave them. One was just a grunt listing various guard positions he was placed in, but the other was different.
He wasn't that high in the Templar rankings. Nagant had described them as a tree of sorts, each root or branch containing multiple lower ranking cogs in the machine. This particular man appeared to be at the end of one of the branches, meaning he wasn't that important, but still, it was better than nothing. In his video he described how he had come in contact with a man known as Overhaul, which Ryukyu mentioned Nighteye was investigating. He went on to tell of a quirk erasing bullet, and how Overhaul wanted to use it to gain a place in the Templar Order.
Izuku was able to get as much information as he could from Ryukyu and his vigilante contacts. He found that Overhaul was the young head of the yakuza gang the Shie Hassaikai and that he took over once his adoptive father fell into a coma. He had heard that Ryukyu's agency was going to participate in a raid on the facility, but he didn't know why.
He walked into the agency for his work study one day and asked her something while on patrol.
Altair: "Ryukyu."
Ryukyu: "Yes Altair?"
Altair: "During the raid. I would like to split off from you. Overhaul is trying to use those deleter rounds to become part the Templars and if he has had contact with them, I need to see if I can find anything."
Ryukyu nodded.
Ryukyu: "Go on ahead. Just don't let any one see you, we don't know who we can trust."
Izuku handed her a list of names, it included the group of vigilantes and Rock Lock, and a few more.
Altair: "These are my current recruits, they can be trusted."
She nodded and they continued their patrol.
A week later, Izuku's phone went off early in the morning, with a text telling him the raid was that day. He hot out of bed and started putting on his hero gear, he was about to leave when Tomoko hugged him from behind.
Tomoko: "Be safe, alright?"
Izuku: "Of course Tomo. Don't forget about that little surprise I promised you a couple weeks ago, it's not done yet so I need to come back."
He gave her a quick kiss before putting his hood up and walking out of his room. He was met in the lobby by Mr. Aizawa, Uraraka, Tsu, and Kirishima. They walked out of the dorms, and headed towards Nighteye's Agency.
Hours later, it was broad daylight, and a small army of heros and cops were standing outside of the SH headquarters. The warrant was passed underneath the gate, and soon after, a giant man busted down the gate, and the raid started.
Ryukyu's agency quickly took action. Hado was slamming him with energy, Tsu was beating on him, Ryukyu transform and started pushing him down, and Izuku ran over, popped his blades, and sliced right through his Achilles tendons, making him fall to the ground.
Ryukyu: "Ryukyu Agency will handle things here. The rest of you head inside!"
She looked down and nodded at Izuku, who followed the others. The only ones who knew of Izuku's plan were Aizawa, Rock Lock, and Ryukyu. The two heros slowed down to match his pace, hiding the boy from prying eyes. Once Nighteye opened the hidden entrance and his sidekicks took care of some ambushers, he split from the group and went in a different direction.
They went for Overhaul, he went for information. He made it to a small office like room, he activated his Eagle Vision, and noticed a small oddity, one of the walls, looked segmented. He started moving things around, before finally finding a switch, which opened a hidden door. When he walked in, all he found was a computer, and an incoming call. He clicked answer, and was met by a man in an elegant bird mask, not unlike the Shie Hassaikai members.
???: "Ah! If it isn't the man himself, Altair, or do you want me to call you The Assassin. Oooh! Maybe Midoriya will do."
Altair: "Altair is fine. Templar."
???: "Oh! So you DO know about us. I guess Kaina was more loose lipped than we thought. But no matter, just call Minor Magistrate Crane."
The way Crane said Nagant's name was like he was talking about an old toy, filled with nostalgic memories, not a person.
Altair: "I'm not alone Crane, and you know that. My brotherhood will wipe you all out one day."
Crane: "Oh? And how will you do that? You're a hero, even underground heros are still known. We've been around far longer than you. We're far more powerful. You can't work in the light to destroy us Altair."
Altair: "Then we'll work in the dark, and serve the light. We'll be the silent protectors of freedom and free will."
Crane just laughed.
Crane: "Well good luck with that my friend. See you later."
Crane ended the call, and leaving Izuku with more questions than answers. Suddenly, a large crash was heard. The raid was getting increasingly destructive.
