"Elias! You don't fry milk!" I yell.
"But I wanted to make homemade eggs" he says, proud of himself.
"You can't make homemade eggs! It's either an egg or not!" I lift the pan off the hob and bring it to the faucet, hoping it didn't damage the pan.
Steam surrounds the room and the smoke alarm begins to set off and my ears ache, yet I can still contain a laughter.
We both laugh at his hysterical cooking, until finally it turns off and we both fall onto the couch, finally comfortable.
"Never be a chef" I demand, watching him watch me.
"I promise I won't destroy the house again" he smiles confidently at me.
I sigh heavily, sitting up properly. "I should make us breakfast" I stand up but am quickly pulled back down at the hand grip of Elias.
My back hits the couch and Elias hovers over me, his lips besides my ear. "I think... we should make out some more" he pulls his face away, quickly moving his lips closer to mine.
Our lips collide and faint laughs leave my mouth. I pull my face away, "seriously, Elias! Im starving" I laugh between my breathes once more.
He smiles, groans, then sits back down besides me. "I promise I'll make it up to you" I kiss him softly on the lips, standing up and walking towards the kitchen, but am stopped by Elias's words.
"Mer" I turn back around, looking at him curiously. He sighs, looking down at his hands.
"I was thinking" he looks back up at me, and immediately I can tell this is something important. So I take steady steps back towards him and hold his hands in mine.
"I know it's soon. We only just became ok with each other, but-
"If it's to do with Sophie... I'll do anything, Elias. You know this" I presume, hopefully reassuring him.
"She's just. She's so alone. She only has my mother and father, and they are terrible people. Luca is god knows where and I'm the only one she really has left-
"I would love for her to stay with us, Elias. It would be wonderful" I smile at him, softly kissing him on his lips.
"Really..." he asks then I laugh between my breathes, "what a ridiculous question, my dear prince Elias" he laughs, then looks me deeply and seriously in the eye.
"Thank you" he whispers. I smile once again, "you've been saying thank you and awfully lot lately"
"That's because I am thankful. I love you-
He shakes his head, attempting to avoid what he said. "I love you, too, Elias" I whisper back and his smile grows.
I miss him more and more and some more and more and more.
I stand up, Elias attempting to bring me back at the drag of his hand with mine.
"I'm hungry" I laugh.
"Then eat me" and there it is, a shock that grows on my face.
I begin to run up the stairs, Elias running after time. When I think I get away, Elias lift me up from my waist and spins in circles three times, both of us laughing.
My back meets the wall and my hands are pulled up over my head and pinned against the wall. Elias is leaning down, his face right up next to mine.
"Now. About repaying it for me" I smirk, kissing him passionately using everything in my power to make this the best damn kiss we move ever had.
And it's in this exact moment that I realise I have everything I ever wanted. I don't need the castle, the title or power. I just need love.
Not the love I had hoped for, for so long. This kind of love, the one where I am who I am meant to be and with who I am meant to be with.
I am happy with Elias. And I cannot wait for our journey ahead of us.
I believe we have so much more to offer for each other and learn from each other.
But I'm really hungry. Maybe I should make eggs? But I think Elias scarred me for life after his attempt of cooking eggs. Or... making eggs.
Maybe bacon will be better.
