Breathe.
Breathe.
You've got this...
Oh, who are you kidding?
As I open my eyes to the bright lights of my bathroom, I look in the mirror. So that's what a person looks like fresh out of college. Huh. I didn't look or feel grown up. I don't feel wise and knowledgeable. I did; however, feel like complete and utter shit. I looked at the time.
5:47
I have work. I have to be there at 7:50. I decide the best way to wake up is to freshen up and get breakfast. Screw breakfast, I am so nervous right now that I feel nauseous. I splash some cold water on my face and do the rest of my morning routine before I head out of the bathroom. As I walk to my closet I think of everything that's happened in the last month. I graduated college. I applied for a job at the newly built Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizza Plex. I got the job. Well, a job.
I had originally applied to work as a daytime security guard, but apparently my 6 years of babysitting as a teen was too good for management to pass up. Now I'm stuck working as a daycare assistant. The manager, Lana, informed me that I would not be the only daycare attendant, but she didn't tell me any more than that. With my luck, I'll be stuck working with some cheesy, greasy animatronic that isn't cut out to be watching over children and have to do all the work myself.
Great.
Lana also told me something else. The only dress code that I had to follow was to dress in something kid friendly. No tight-fitting clothes. No holes. And no crop tops. Well, that really narrows down my options. As I'm looking through my clothes I find the perfect outfit. A baggy shirt and some comfortable jeans free of any holes. Gods, I hope these fit. As I shimmy my way into my jeans, I wonder how my first day at work will play out. Sure, yeah, I hope it goes well but what if it doesn't? What if I hate the person I'm working with? What if they're annoying? What if I'm bad at the job? All the possible 'What ifs' fill my head as I slowly make my way to my vanity. As I do my makeup and choose some jewelry, I continue to think about my work day.
Once I've put on my shoes for the day I walk out into my apartment's living room. Looking at the nearest clock I notice that it's around 7:25. Considering morning traffic and the time it takes to get from my apartment to the Plex, I need to get on the road soon. So, packing a small lunch and filling a water bottle with some ice and water, I grab my keys and head out to my car. The ride there was peaceful for the most part except for when my phone decided to glitch out and wouldn't play my music. Piece of shit. As I pull up to the Plex's parking lot, I realize that there aren't that many people here yet. That might pose a problem since I have absolutely no clue as to where I am supposed to go. When Lana called me to tell me that I had gotten the job she mentioned that a girl named Vanessa would meet me at the entrance to show me where to go and to give me all the things and information I would need as an employee here. So as I'm walking through the doors of the Plex, I'm hurriedly searching for anyone who can help me.
As I make my way further into the building I hear footsteps from behind me. They're so light I almost didn't hear them. Suddenly there's a hand on my shoulder and I'm being held with a frighteningly serious grip.
"Who are you? And what the hell are you doing in here?"
Ok, so short chapter but it's also like 11:00, and I spent all day at school so yeah, imma go to sleep. I hope someone reads this cuz I need someone to like it. Anyways I may have a posting schedule, who knows, I'll figure it out as I go.
