You were such a good assistant.

Nice, sweet, understanding.

You were all they could ever ask for in an assistant. When they were first told they would be getting an assistant, they were a bit wary. But you were amazing. The way you interacted with the kids was commendable. You were so sweet and gentle and never talked down to kids or them.

To them you were perfect. A perfect friend and assistant. So, so sweet and so, so kind.

They wanted to know more about you. They wanted to know your favorite color and flower, when your birthday was, what your favorite holiday was. They wanted to know everything. They wanted to be the bestest friend possible. And to do that they had to know how you were feeling.

They thought you looked like you were a little bothered yesterday, but today they knew. Instead of going down the slide like you normally did, you walked in through the large wood doors at the front of the daycare. You hadn't called out to them like you always do. You simply walked in and put your bag down behind the security desk.

Immediately Sun was worried. He jumped from the balcony and, as quietly as he could, snuck up to the security desk.

Your eyes were closed. Sun took note of the small bags under your eyes. They weren't there before. You hadn't slept well, or at all last night, he could tell.

He'd ask later. He was worried, but if you hadn't gotten proper sleep last night, then he would stomach his curiosity until you woke up.

So, he went around preparing the daycare as silently as possible. Every once in a while, he would look at you making sure you hadn't woken up. It was so quiet and peaceful. Serene.

Well, until the children had started to make their way in.

The next time he checked on you, you were up and busy doing the attendance. It was then that he finally noticed that you were wearing sun and moon-themed clothes again. If his smile could grow any bigger, it would. It made him so happy that you had gone through with his silly suggestion. He had meant it as a joke but it was so nice to find out you had gotten some things. And you just looked so adorable in them.

Later in the day, you had been playing with the kiddos. The kids had asked you to play house with them. Sometimes when he would walk past where you and the kids were playing, he would hear some of the conversations you were having.

"No, Jimmy. You can't pick the dog up by the tail. It's not nice."

"Kayla, no sweetie. Jace said he didn't want kisses."

"Maya, I can't be the chair. Why? Because it's not fair to the actual chairs."

You were so sweet and never got angry with the kids. You had a heart of gold and he never wanted it to be tainted. You were just too precious. Was that weird to think?

The day had gone by well until everyone was playing hide and seek.

Sun was the seeker and was looking everywhere for you and the kids. Everything was going well, he had already found a majority of the kids when he heard a loud scream coming from one of the structures. It wasn't a child's scream, either. It was your's and you sounded scared. He quickly ran into the jungle gym going around every twist and turn, rushing to get to you.

At last, he found you, curled up in a corner with your head on your knees and your hands covering your ears. You were slightly shaking and your sniffles were easy to hear.

"Are they okay?" a voice was heard through the silence. It was Moon in the headspace talking to Sun. His voice sounded extremely worried.

"I don't know," replied Sun. He slowly reached out his hand to touch your arm.
