I woke up the next morning at just gone 8:00 so I decided to have a shower and get dressed before trying to find somewhere to have breakfast.
I got dressed into one of my summer dresses and a light cardigan as the weather outside was quite warm. I quickly dried my hair leaving it to go wavy, clipping back my fringe. I opened my laptop to find a nice local place for breakfast that I could walk to. I grabbed my bag putting my phone and my purse in it, picking up my camera I headed out the door locking my room behind me.
Walking down the street trying to follow the tourist map I picked up at the hotel reception to help me find the restaurant. I kept an eye out for nice looking places to have dinner at later on in the week.
According to the map I had arrived at the restaurant, however when I looked up it wasn't there, in its place was a bar. I looked down at the map again trying to work out where I had gone wrong. It was half 9 now and my stomach was beginning to rumble, I knew that if I took much longer to find it I would end up missing breakfast altogether.
I looked down at the map again, thinking that I might have walked to far down the road. I spun around and was promptly knock backwards and onto my bum.
"Oh my, I so sorry Miss are you ok?" A strong looking man said reaching down to help me up.
"Oh no it's ok it was entirely my fault I should have been paying more attention to what I was doing and less looking at this map." I said smoothing out my dress and looking up.
"Like wise." He said gesturing to his watch. "You see I'm late for brunch with my friends." He smiled.
"Well I'm sorry to keep you." I said picking up my map from the floor.
"It's ok, I'm Chris by the way." He said holding out his hand.
"Hello Chris, I'm Ava." I said shaking his hand.
"I guess I'll be on my way then, have a good morning." He said walking off.
"And you." I said to myself, looking down at the map again. 'I'm never going to find this dam restaurant.' I thought to myself. That's when it clicked. "Wait Chris." I called turning around. He stopped and turned around so I jogged over to him.
"Yes Ava?" He questioned.
"Er you seem like you know your way around LA, could you help me please?" I said nervously.
"Yes sure, what can I help you with?"
"Well I was looking for this restaurant." I said pointing at my map. "Benny's. However I can't find it, I was going there for breakfast you see, although I think I might be a little late for that." I explained.
"Oh ok. well I know why you've not found it. It closed down last month, we normally went for breakfast there when we were in town." He said apologetically.
