"Wake up punk-knuckles," A scratchy voice screamed, the banging on the locked door and waking everyone from their slumber. Hester groaned angrily, rolling over to see Dot still snoring away. "Dot wake up you idiot," She seethed, throwing a hairbrush at the girl whose eyes shot open.

Anadil pattied down the top of her frizzy hair as she looked around the room. Valerie was seen sat on the broken vanity stool, her hair brushed and clean - clearly she'd been up a long time. "Had a shower yet, Princess?" Sophie quizzed, stretching her knotted muscles. Cracks echoed through the room. Valerie pursed her lips whilst continuing to brush her snow-white locks.

Nobody else dared to speak to Valerie, who had shown just how higher she was in the villainous hierarchy she was. "The shower was extra cold this morning," She sighed, satisfied, whilst rubbing her eyes with crumbled makeup roughly before turning to the spaced out girls and grabbing her clothes.

She pulled on a white skirt which matched her shirt. Pulling white patterned tights over her legs, Valerie then shoved on a jacket and earmuffs to complete her look. She then shoved her feet into her chunky boots and stepped lightly out the door, her glimmering white hair flowing behind her.

"Breakfast! Breakfast!" A witch shrieked deafeningly, pouring purple-coloured porridge into the unwashed bowls in front of everyone

"Breakfast! Breakfast!" A witch shrieked deafeningly, pouring purple-coloured porridge into the unwashed bowls in front of everyone. "This is rank," Sophie pushed the bowl away from her with an angry face, picking away the grim from under her fingers.

Valerie shrugged, picking out the hair from the food before digging in. "You get used to it," She told Sophie, grabbing a spoon of Sophie's porridge and launching it at Hort who looked around, wondering where it had come from. His eyes turned to Valerie but she was busy giggling at something Sophie had said and was seemingly unaware of the breakfast running down his face.

"Lunch is better, we get the same kind of food as the Evers," She added, explaining how they all ate together but it was mainly separated by choice. "No Ever wants to sit with a Never, and a Never doesn't want to sit with an Ever."

...

"Why do we need to be ugly?" Professor Bilious asked the Never class, his voice gravelly as he walked down the centre of the room. His back hunched as he carried a steaming cauldron full of green liquid.

"Hort?" He announced loudly, slamming his caned stick on the table - shaking Hort from his desiring gaze towards Sophie. Valerie grinned knowingly. "Because it makes little children cry?" He offered, gasping with irritation as Bilious spilt the green liquid all over his trousers. The steaming liquid burnt holes near his kneecaps.

"That's merely a bonus," Bilious cackled. Hester ground her yellowing teeth, staring at Sophie with anger as she scratched the table with a quill. Valerie cleared her throat, placing a hand on Sophie's back which caused her to straighten up uncomfortably. Hester's eyes moved to Valerie's whose sparkled with sheer power.

Hester breathed in furiously, bringing her hand to feel the burn marks which laced her shoulders, from the poison ivy. Hester snarled before looking away, her fear of Valerie overcoming the need to stab Sophie repetitively in the face.

"Why be repulsive and revolting?" Bilious snapped his cane onto Sophie's table, spilling the green potion on her as well, making Valerie snort. "My question exactly," Sophie faced him, her sparky attitude making Valerie's eyebrow raise.

"Miss Grayskull?" Professor Bilious asked relatively politely, looking at Valerie with a glanced side eye. Sophie cocked her head, wondering why she deserved a little respect from him and everybody else didn't.

"Not caring how you look, forces you to use your intelligence. Ugliness is freedom," She recited, a bored tone filling her vocals. "Page 231 of the textbook," She whispered to a confused-looking Sophie, pointing at the worm-bitten book which sat on the dusty desk untouched.

Hester and Anadil looked at each other in delight as Bilious laughed cruelly, spilling more potion everywhere. Professor Bilious span with delight as all the villains complained of the potion going everywhere, nearly spilling all over Valerie but she stopped it, the block of now-frozen green liquid falling on her lap before slipping onto the floor and smashing into bits of slushied snow.

Bilious spat in either respect or anger, a metal tooth flinging across the room and hitting Hort on the head. It pinged back, smacking against Sophie's bowl which made her shiver in disgust. "My tooth, just fell out. It's disgusting and I don't care. That is power!" He screeched, making everyone laugh and bang the tables in a rioting sort-of way.

Every villain then proceeded to individually create their personalised ugly potion which was a concoction of many ingredient's even Hort felt queasy about drinking. "Now prepare to drink up," Bilious raised his clogged voice, the lighting which constantly surrounded the school making everyone's arm hair stand on end as it lashed down. The air was cautious, the smell inside the classroom even worse.

"And see how ugly and powerful you can be! Reader?" He snarled in Sophie's face as she looked down at her bowl. It was black, syrupy - like blood - with witch hazel and rosemary bathing in it. Foam lapped around the edges of the bowl. Tadpoles swam around - attempting to at least - in the viscous liquid. She paled, looking like she was going to throw up. Valerie put her hand up, making Bilious step back carefully.

"Yes, Miss Grayskull?" He asked, turning to her and laughing when his neck cracked. "Does this look right to you?" She wondered aloud, smirking as Sophie tapped her under the desk as a thank you.

Valerie's potion was an icy blue, thin with black ink spreading through it slowly. Amber rocks formed across the outside where the potion touched the copper bowl and what looked like eyeballs rolled around dumbly in the centre.

"Perfect," He grinned, looking back to Sophie. "Now, Reader," He burped, looking at her with his one working eye. "You're first." Everyone else looked around smiling. The newbie was beginning to piss them all off, especially because she had somehow unlocked a way to gain respect from the Queen of Evil herself. Valerie cocked her head, preparing for Sophie's defiance. She nodded slowly as it occurred, Sophie's loud pretty voice saying the words "No," confidently.

"I don't want to be ugly, it's not who I am," She looked innocently to Valerie for back up, but Valerie wasn't looking at her, instead she was pouring her potion into a cracked shot glass, missing out the eye for her own pleasure. "Not. Yet." Bilious smiled, his teeth rotting black under his crusting lips.

"Grayskull?" He shouted, making everyone jump to look at the girl with the icy gaze - making her stop as she was about to take a shot of her own potion. "Yes?" She answered, annoyed as she slammed her shot glass back on the table. The glass smashed and the potion spilled out.

It hissed angrily as it dripped onto the concrete floor, steam flickering off it. A few people snickered. Valerie understoof what Bilious asked from his facial expression ans stood up, caressing Sophie's blonde hair with her cold hands. "I'm not really sorry about this, but I'll pretend I am. Don't worry, you'll still look beautiful to Hort," Valerie chuckled.

"What-" Sophie's voice was cut off when Valerie aggresively shoved Sophie's face into her potion.
