I rolled over in my bed, i stretched while rubbing the haze out of my puffy teary eyes, i pulled my knees up to my chest and laid on the bed in the fetal position, more tears fell from my eyes.

He was gone, they took him away from me.

I got up and my arms automatically went to my neck.

Why am i in my room?

Did i fall asleep?

But what was i doing?

i sat there trying to remember as those question went round and round in my head and then i remembered ........Charlie!

We were talking and then everything went black.

Oh no, i got up pulled out a jeans and t-shirt from my closet pulled on my boots and went down stairs.

I went into the kitchen, it was empty just like the living room, i walked down the hall and headed for my fathers office, i went up to the third floor and as i was about to open the door i heard a voice, it was my dad.

Like duh.

Shush.

I put my ears to the door hoping to hear what was going on.

"Look, just take it easy on him, i don't want the kid to die and then we end up with an internal war, plus he's the only one that Jace allows to get close to him, even if he doesn't know it, he locks people out, so don't hurt him too bad."

I didn't know what just happened, but something told me it was about Charlie.

Without a second thought, i barged into his office, he ended the call and looked in my direction.

"Jace, you're awake."

"Was that about Charlie?"

"It's good to see you up, let's-" i cut him off, he wasn't getting out of this one.

"Answer my question, was that about Charlie?"

He glanced around the room before nodding "where is he?"

he looked out the window, turning his back to me "where is he?" he still said nothing "daddy where is Charlie?!"

I saw him stiffen, i only ever called him that when i was really upset "daddy where is he, please tell me? don't hide him from me, don't hurt him, not because of me, daddy please?!"

I saw him glance my way and his eyes widened, i knew why he was surprised, i could feel the tears slowly run down my face, i hardly ever cried, i knew to hide my feelings, to never let it out, especially when it came to my dad, but this was different, they took my Charlie away from me and i was going to let them know how much they hurt me, at least.......... just this once.

He walked forward until he was standing right in front of me, his normal stoic expression was gone and his face was soft, he placed his hands on my shoulders.

"Jace please, don't cry, this needs to be done, he needs to learn he can't just kill someone every time they piss him off, otherwise he could get in trouble, it's better for him to be punished, than in the future have to pay for his mistakes with his life."

I had enough of people guessing why he killed him, i'll let them know, i'll let him know.
