Chapter 15

Adelaide's POV

It was about 2:55pm and I was in hell- or school. It was the last class of the day which happened to be English. I hate English. Well, I hate all of my classes so I really just hate school but you get the point. I have kept my mush shut the whole lesson because I'm not in the mood to be kept back for doing something stupid.

I sat in silence to the glorious sound of the bell rang out. The whole class got up and left ignoring the teacher.

"The bell does not dismiss you, I DISMISS YOU!" He shouted. We all left anyway. Why would you even want to be a teacher? I'd quite want to be respected when I went to work.

I walked out of the school building to see Michael standing by the doors.

"It's about time! I've been standing here for ages!" He greeted me.

"Nice to see you to, Michael." I replied sarcastically. "Why are you here?"

"We're going to find the hot boy." He said taking my arm and practically dragging me.

"Woah, woah, woah, slow down." I said. "Which hot boy? I know many."

"The guy in the music shop, you know? The one with the hair."

"What do you mean 'the one with the hair'? We all have hair. Well, except you because you're going bald but the rest of us aren't." I smirked.

"Shut up, you know who I'm talking about." He groaned.

"Ashton? Michael, he's straight!"

"Yeah, for now." He smirked. "He'll turn gay for me."

"You keep telling yourself that." I said.

"Don't worry, I will." He replied as we walked away from the school building. I texted Ashton and asked if he was working today. Fortunately he was so we got on a bus to the music shop in town. The poor kid is always working, I feel like I spend my life in there.

We found our way to the little shop and surprisingly, there were actually some people there today. And of course, there he was in all his glory. Luke.

We walked in and I kept my head down, praying he wouldn't notice us until that idiot Michael waved his hand in the air and said, "Hey Luke!!!" I sighed as he went over to talk to him. I walked in a different direction over to Ashton.

"Hey." I greeted him.

"Why are you always here?!" Ashton asked.

"Michael made me come." I pointed in his direction.

"Isn't that the guy who was smirking at me?!" He exclaimed. "Why is he here again?"

"Oh he was here yesterday when I covered for you." I said casually. "He came looking for 'the hot boy'. He made me come back again today when you weren't there."

"He thinks I'm hot? Well he's decent looking for a guy but I'm straight."

"I told him that but he isn't giving up." I started. Suddenly Luke was calling my name and I had to socialise. Fun.

I walked over to him slowly and he smiled at me.

"Hey Adelaide!" He said happily.

"Hey, Luke." I was finding this awkward but he wasn't.

"Why are you and Michael here together?" He asked. I sensed a hint of jealousy in his voice but I didn't pick up on it, I didn't feel like arguing today with Luke.

"Uh...he was looking for a hot person." I was trying not to get into detail.

"Oh good." We both glanced over at Michael, who was talking to a slightly nervous Ashton at the counter.

"I should probably go...I have homework and stuff." I awkwardly told Luke.

"Oh...yeah sure, me too." He looked a little hurt by my sudden leaving. "I'll...uh...talk to you later then?"

"Sure." I said, then I walked to Michael who was now in a deep conversation with Ashton. "Michael I have to go."

"Yeah, okay." He said without a glance.

I smiled at Ashton then left the shop. It had started raining while I was in there and I had to wait on a bus, then as soon as I got off the bus it miraculously stopped raining.

I walked to my house, and was greeted by Calum sitting on my- or our wall.

"No glasses now, huh?" I raised an eyebrow.

"No, I sat on them earlier and they broke. It was a really sad event." He told me.

"I'm sorry for your loss." I remarked sarcastically. "Don't expect a card."

"Don't worry, I won't." He said.

I walked up to my doorstep and opened the door.

"Oh and by the way," I began as he looked up. "You're sitting on bird shit."

"AUGH!" He shouted.

"You should probably get new glasses, it seems you need them." I smirked as I walked inside my house.
