I don't understand why everyone thinks being sad is always a bad thing.
They tell me to cheer up- but I don't always want to.
They think it's weird, that there's something wrong with me, but sometimes you have to sit in the rain, feel it on your skin & embrace it-
Not because it'll make you appreciate the sunshine more when it comes back around,
But because it can be beautiful in its own way.

Trying to keep my mind off of anything that has to do with you

If I stare up at the sky, will a shooting star go by?

Because I've been feeling like as long as I tilt my head heaven high, the constellations stay stationary- leaving me feeling like it's all a lie

I've dedicated so much time waiting for my wish to come true, but in the end no star will help me get through

It's up to me now, to reach for my dreams, because there's no magic- unlike the movies make it seem
