Skylar POV

I tried ever possible way to get out of the room but with no luck. Just as I was about to try the door again, it flew open and revealed Gabriel. I ran to the bed and sat on the edge as Gabriel stalked towards me. "You're coming with me." He snarled and grabbed me by my arm, dragging me through the hallway. "You're not going to get away with this." I struggled to get out. He slammed my back against the wall, taking the air out of my lungs leaving me breathless as his face was inches from mine. "Oh yes I will. You're mine now." He yanked me by my arm and continued dragging me throughout the hallway. Random gunfire was heard echoing throughout the hallways as Gabriel took me to some unknown destination.

Suddenly we rounded a corner and there stood Austin in all his tattoo glory. I gasped and smiled but that was all taken away suddenly when a gun was pressed to my temple. "Austin." Gabriel snarled as Austin glared at him, fire burning in his eyes. "Let her go." Austin demanded but Gabriel just pushed me further into his chest, grabbing my chest in the process. Austin took a step forward. "ah ah ah. I'll pull the trigger." Gabriel said, tapping the gun against my head.

By this time I was in tears. "No please please no." I begged gabriel but he growled at me. "Shut up!" He hit me with the handle of the gun and I blacked out.

Austin POV

That was the last straw. I watched as Skylar crumpled to the ground, knocked unconcious as I stood before Gabriel towering over him. "It's just you and me now Austin." He grinned sadisticly, as he began to back away. "If it's just you and me then why are you running?" I questioned. Gabriel shook his head and laughed. "Oh Austin. I have this place rigged. It's going to be on fire and I do not wish to be in here when it happens." I blinked and clenched my jaw. Him or Skylar. Gabriel turned and fled, laughing as he ran but I raised my gun and fired, hitting him in the chest. I ran after him. This was going to end now. "You're dead." I snarled at him and he laughed even harder, blood coming from his mouth and he spat it back at me. "There's always a master and an apprentice." He whispered. I snarled and shot him through the head. It was over. Just as I was about to turn around, I smelt gas and something burning.

The building was on fire. I needed to get Skylar and get the fuck out of here. I began to run back over to her and she was moving around a bit and I let out a sigh of relief. I picked her up in my arms as I turned to exit. That's when I realized we were blocked in. "shit." I muttered. Smoke was now covering the hallways and I couldn't see very clearly. I needed to get us out and fast. I coughed, my lungs trying to get air as I stumbled to the closest room. The whole hallway was on fire now and the heat was scorching. I quickly made my way towards the window, kicking it out being extra careful not to drop Skylar. Just my luck. A fucking lake below us. Just as I was about to jump out, someone yanked me around and I dropped Skylar to the floor.

"You think Gabriel was going to let you get away that easy?" The guy questioned. I couldn't see his face clearly but I knew it was Gabriel's apprentice. "Haha! You think Gabriel taught you everything?" I laughed at him and he snarled, taking a swing at me that I dodged and grabbed his arm, flipping him on his back. He hit me in the face, sending me back a few steps but I regained my balance. Shit. My heart was racing and that wasn't a good sign.

"You're getting slow in you're old age huh?" He sneered. I had enough. I saw that the flames were now lapping at door frame and I saw what looked to be oil on the side of the table. I kicked him in the stomach and sent him flying back, a side of his face and body getting covered in the substance. I grabbed his arm and threw him at the door, breaking it down as he shrieked in pain. "Austin!?" Skylar yelled. I whipped around and saw her standing by the window. I quickly made my way over to her and pressed my lips to hers. "Let's get out of here." I told her against her lips and she nodded. I grabbed her hand and stood at the edge of the window. "Jump." She looked at me and smiled as we jumped into the water, the room above us being engulfed in flames.

As our heads popped out over the surface, I swam over to Skylar and wrapped her up in my arms. "Hi." She smiled earning a smile from me. "Hi."

"You know what Austin?" She said and I looked at her questioningly. "I think I've fallen for you." She giggled and blushed. I brushed some wet hair from her face and chuckled. "Well we did just fall into a pond." I teased as she hit me lightly and sighed, her blue eyes locked with mine. "I love you." I cooed to her and she bit her lip. "I love you too. I don't care about your occupations. All I know is that I love you whole heartedly." She told me, tears in her eyes as I kissed her passionately.

"Will you two please get a fucking room." Alan yelled from the car that was parked on the edge of the lake. Skylar looked shocked but pleased and shook her head. "Let's go before the cops come." I told her as we swam over to the car and got in.

Unknown POV

I coughed. Was I dead or....I gasped for air, coughing from the smoke in my lungs. I crawled away, hearing the sirens heading this way as I chuckled. I was alive alright and I was going to plot my revenge. Fuck you Austin Robert Carlile.
