Special Chapter: Ligaya

Theresia's POV

Early in the morning of Christmas Eve, I received a call from Leonor. Wondering why, but mostly I didn't think of it since I knew her voice would be a good thing to hear in the morning.

"Hello, gorgeous. Have you seen the sky today? Maaliwalas."

"Really?" I asked, sliding my curtains to open the window. That's when I saw a woman outside my door with a black car, wearing a pink suit.

"Ayan. Mas gumanda yung view ko," Leonor said.

"Ikaw talaga... Halika rito, mainit dyan. Nako!"

She laughed from the other line. "I'm here to ask you something, Theresia."

I was puzzled up but my eyes brightened keeping her within my sight. "Y-yes?"

"Would you allow me to–"

"To ano?"

"Court you? That way, we can begin better this time." she said with a dimpled smile on her face.

I gasped. "Y-you?! Courting me?!"

"Yes."

"Tinatanong pa ba yan?! Oo naman!" I nearly cried, looking at her. "Halika nga rito! Pahingi ng yakap, Ms. Suitor!"

Agad na pumasok siya't may dalang bouquet ng tulips.

"You never forgot."

"Tulips? How can I ever forget something that reminds me of you?"

My heart's about to explode, watching and listening intently to this woman speaking in front of me.

"Bakit ka pa may paganyan? Leonor naman eh..." I spoke snuggling in.

"I know what I did wrong back in Thailand. Even if you tell me na naayos naman natin, I still believe you deserve more than apologies. Let me prove it to you. Papatunayan ko sarili ko sayo."

"Ah? You already proved yourself, Mahal ko."

"Then let me prove your worth, okay?"

Leonor, my heart!

She held my hands "Dear, I want you to feel like the best woman in the world. Hayaan mong ipakita ko sayo that you're more than who you think you are."

"Let me make you the happiest too." I answered.

"Sa susunod na yan. That'll happen kapag sinagot mo na ako," she uttered with a smirk.

"Sasagutin na kita!"

"Theresia, come on."

"What? I'm not joking. Kapag sayo, sigurado na ako. Wala nang pag-aalinlangan pa."

Leonor stood frozen, probably still processing what's happening.

"Diba you said that you want to show me that I'm more than how I see myself? Well, the only way for you to do that is by being with me. I see myself more than who I think I am because you make my whole existence better."

It seemed like she wanted to say more so I walked towards her and pulled in for a kiss. "I love you. Love me back, that's all that you have to do." I say.

She scratched the back of her neck murmuring "But I don't understand."

"What do you not understand?"
