Vikram POV
Since the time she got that video message she was in her room. At lunch time Aunty announced that she was nowhere in the house. Everybody were worried, she would not go off like that, without bodyguards, without informing anyone. She isnt irresponsible, she thinks before she says something/does something. Then it striked me may be she just needed some me time where she could process her thoughts.
I asked them to track her phone and check out the spots where she normally visits, I ordered the bodyguards to check the tracker on her extended family, they were not even here since a week. I was thinking on where else could she go Shopping ?? May be a Parlour ??
I remembered an incident in the past where she was stopped from pursuing her favorite hobby because her grades were not as expected, she was upset and left the home for a few hours to think, when her parents asked her she never told them where was she, she was angry. Then, because I was her friend she shared her secret thinking place with me for safety purposes and announced to her parents that her friend knew the place so she does not want to tell them the place as she was upset with them, they just laughed among themselves at her behaviour.
She was in that same thinking place a few years ago when she was to be shipped off to her boarding school for her safety. She did not want to leave the only people she knew. That day too, she was gone for 2 hours I went and got her back.
I took my car and drove to the thinking place she normally goes too. It was in the 20 mins distance from our home. I was right, she was in the thinking place. This is a joggers park surrounded by a lake and when we walk early in the morning there are a lot of bird species to be discovered here. She was sitting on a rock in front of the lake, she saw me walking to her and spoke with me after a while.
Diya: I thought you would have forgotten about this place, considering the fact that how much you hate me
Me: I still remember this place , you used to say this is your thinking place
Diya: Yeah
Me: Diya, you dont have to get married to me just because my dad asked you to. Even if we are not married, you will still be protected from your extended family.
Diya: How did you know, that I was going to marry you ?
Me: If you would have made your mind about not getting married to me, you would have been in the flight you booked for today's morning. You are here in the thinking place, so you have accepted the change, you have accepted your fate isnt it?
She nodded her head positively in response
Diya: Your dad has never asked me anything in his life. He supported me and protected me throughout my life. This is the first time he had requested me and I am going to go forward with it. I have a question though can you answer it honestly?
She looked at me and continued "Why do you hate me so much?"
Diya: I still cannot put a finger on why do you hate me and the annoying thing is that I never knew the reason.
Vikram : You will get all your answers with time Diya but the only thing you have to know is that you never did anything wrong. You were always sweet, I was a jerk !!
Can we keep it that way for now ?
Diya: Okay, you are a jerk lets keep it that way
She started walking towards the exit and I followed behind, her words in the end amused me, she called me a jerk to my face, not everyone can do that. I gotta appreciate her guts, she always knew how to put me in my place.
Once we reached home, Aunty hugged her and asked her why was she gone when she told her that she was out making her decision. When Aunty enquired about her decision, right then Zyra crawled to Diya once she saw her. Diya smiled at Zyra and picked her in her arms.
Diya: I am going to take care of Zyra right now, and no one can stop me from now on as I am going to be her mother soon.
She said those words looking at me and I got her message, she was pissed that I tried to keep her away from Zyra in the past week even when she knows the reasons. I guess though she understood my reasons the past week and stayed away from Zyra assuming that she would leave. Now that situation is favouring her she was giving it back with a swag.
Listening to her reply, Aunty was over joyed she went to Diya and hugged her. She distributed sweets among everyone and she started cooking all of Diya's favorite foods while both of them royally ignored me. This is so unfair that everyone was ignoring me when at the end of the day I am going to be her husband, but looking at Diya's body language seems like she is only getting married to me because of Zyru.
Okay that made me jealous ..... Period
