Diya POV
We were both in his car and he was calmly driving to the decided destination which god knows where. From his face or his body language I am not able to predict what is going on in his mind but I am scared
Would he misunderstand me ?
Would he judge me?
Would we go back to fighting with each other?
While I was in my thoughts the car suddenly came to a halt and I was suprised to see that he stopped near my favorite place, the park which I normally go to. He gestured me to get down and I did.
All the buildup silence was making me feel guilty, like a culprit. I never know if he even likes me in a romantic way so that made me think if he enjoys the attention thrown at him from the girls. What if he really does that ?? May be he does not like me in that way so he is mad that I became a bone in his enjoyment.
That made me sad, I love him and he does not love me back
He stopped near the lake and stood along the tree planted around it, he rested his back on the bark and stood tall while I was dwelling in my insecurities. The park was isolated now considering it was around 4 pm and it was a bit cloudy today.
He was looking at me with his eyes, that made me nervous. Its like he was looking in my soul, I was afraid he will know my secrets.
I slowly heard his husky voice
Vikram: Why did you say all those things you said ?
I remained quiet, his strong gaze taking the confidence away from my voice
Vikram: DIYA
Me: Okay fine, I did that. I know that you enjoy all that attention you are getting from that overly bratty classmates of mine but I know how they were talking about you and it is not good. Do you know how they were looking at you ? One of them even would have come in and proposed to you. I dint want that to happen.
Vikram: Why Diya ?
Me: I mean its inappropriate
Vikram: Diya, there are lots of innappropriate things happening in this world, it does not mean you will go and stop that right?
Me: What, so you are telling me you are enjoying the attention or what?
Vikram: I never said that, all I am saying is why do you care?
Me: Well I am your wife and ...
Vikram: Most of the husbands have their wives and most of the wives have their husbands, they all have one or two admirers but it does not mean they go around confronting their admirers and intimidating them
Me: I never did it directly, I just
Vikram: Diya, you are my wife, and you literally warned them in your name
Me : Look I just ...
With every letter I was saying I got nervous, he changed his poisture and started walking towards me in slow predatory steps while I remained stunned by his deep, dark eyes and the way he was walking towards me. I took a few steps back and my back met with a tree bark, the root was pretty big, I was about to hit my leg and lose my balance when he held my waist trying to balance me. I thought he will leave me after that but he dint. He pulled me close to him and locked his arms around me, his height made him look directly in to my eyes and I tried to avoid his gaze.
