🎶: 'driver's license' by Olivia RodrigoThe sun was setting twilight, coating the neighborhood in golden light.
A red haired boy was sitting on the swings in his backyard, his legs dangling in the air, one hand holding onto the chain, and the second holding a small card: his driver's license.
Kang Taehyun, was printed on there in black letters.
He smiled.
"Can't believe it's been a week since I got my license, and I haven't gone out for a drive yet. Probably because... he's not here."
Who's he?
Ah yes, Taehyun's ex boyfriend, Choi Soobin.
Back when they were still together, they always talked about what they will do as soon as one of them gets their license.
Soobin especially was excited that Taehyun would be able to drive up to his house, and that they could spend more time together without having to take a train or have their parents drive them around.
But of course, that wasn't going to happen.
Not anymore, as they were no longer together and had no purpose to meet each other again after cutting off all ties to each other.
Where are they both at now, nearly three months after their simple yet exquisitely heartbreaking break-up?
Soobin was probably with that blonde boy named Yeonjun, who was considerably much older than Taehyun, even if it was just three years.
He was basically everything Taehyun wasn't: tall (well, Taehyun is 177 cm but Yeonjun was 181.5 cm, so bonus points), muscular (Taehyun works out too but his muscles are leaner, while Yeonjun was buff as fuck), funny (Taehyun was often bullied for his sense of humor, and Yeonjun was a master at dad jokes) and confident (self esteem is like a foreign language to him, while Yeonjun was the god of confidence).
No wonder Soobin fell for him.
But it was a wonder that he just left Taehyun hanging like that.
Why would he do that though if he loved him? How could he be so cruel to the person who valued him the most, the one who saw him through his worst, and never left his side, as he always promised?
Taehyun knew that they weren't a perfect couple, because they had their flaws just like any other human would, but he also knew that neither of them never felt this way towards someone else before.
They were each other's first boyfriend, first kiss, and maybe they would have been each other's first time too.
Given these factors, he couldn't understand why Soobin was so okay without him around, and smiled so much with Yeonjun.
