Hi everyone this is Author LK!
As you may see, we've officially reached the end of "Sour". There's a lot I have to still say, however, and I'd appreciate it if you read this message to every one of my readers who took the time to read one chapter or more.

Before I say anything else, I wanna say: thank you all so so much for all the love this book received 😭💖 I legitimately did not expect for this to gain so many reads within six days only. We're right now at 121 views and that's a lot! At least for me heh, I'm still a rookie author on Wattpad lol. I was always so shocked seeing the views go up and the fact some of my oneshots have over 15 reads is just... wow.

I'm sure some of my readers from my other stories (if there are any here 👀) didn't expect this side project of mine.
Well, I always have something up my sleeve and I've been dying to share this work of mine, that, to no surprise, was written already a long while ago before coming to Wattpad (I'm an internet coward lmoa).

This is probably no surprise to anyone, as many gen z teens listen to her, but I am a big fan of Olivia Rodrigo's debut album and Olivia herself.
Fun fact tho: Olivia Rodrigo and I go way back. No, not when she was in "High School Musical: the Musical". I already knew who she was back in 2016, a year after she starred in the American girl movie "Grace: Stirs Up Success".
And then my sister told me about 'driver's license' in January of last year, saying "remember the girl who played Grace?"

So that's the story lol.

When the whole album was released, even though I didn't listen to it on repeat afterwards due to so many other Kpop comebacks, I was really amazed by how Olivia portrayed different sides of breakups and made many people relate to her.

And then, one year later, when TXT hinted teasers that Minisode 2: Thursday's Child was going to be about the unknown feeling of breakup, I suddenly gained the heavy urge to combine the albums' stories into one. Or maybe the "End" concept pics made me lol.

To wrap this whole book up, I'll be taking you on a behind the scenes of every oneshot in this book. Hope you enjoy 💜

brutal: for this particular oneshot I decided to not make it romantic, especially because this song doesn't talk much about romance, rather more about the everyday stress and insecurities and doubts many teenagers face.
Since I'm also a high school student whose high school experience has not been that great, it was easy to write it once it became an OT5 story.
Like for every oneshot, the lyrics Olivia wrote became the script of the story, and that was how I was able to shape every character for this oneshot. I made Yeonjun an insecure queer who feels pressured by everyone, Taehyun an emotionally messed up teen, Kai an ambitiously exhausted kid, Soobin a doubtful lyricist, and Beomgyu a heartbroken lost teen. I'm pretty sure most people reading here could relate to one of them; I related to most of them. Last year I blasted "brutal" every time I had a mental breakdown over school lmao.

traitor: from the way I see it, this song talks about watching your love disappear and break into ashes step by step, not knowing what to do because you're afraid. After all, you know your lover is falling for someone else, and that you cannot do anything about it because you have no idea what could work, and cuz your lover keeps reassuring you that they love you.
Since the song was written through Olivia's perspective, I decided to make this oneshot as a diary entry written by Beomgyu, expressing his thoughts and emotions seeing Yeonjun slowly fall for Taehyun.
Betrayal, frustration, anger, confusion, disappointment; they were all present throughout the story. How can someone not feel that when their lover falls out of love with them, and immediately moves on to someone new?
