Heartbreak.
Nobody ever prepares you for it.
Because it's not something you can prepare for.
Heartbreak comes in different ways. Some people move on and get over it quickly, others will mourn over their lost relationship for some times, and a few...

A key was inserted into the keyhole, and Yeonjun lifted his head when he heard the rattling of the prison cell bars move aside.
"Choi Yeonjun, you have a visitor," the guard said.
Yeonjun frowned.
"A visitor?"
The guard led him, handcuffed, to the visitors' section. He sat down in the farthest seat, and gasped when he saw who it was.
"Taehyun?"
His ex lover... was visiting him?
He took the phone and placed it on his ear.
"Hello Yeonjun," Taehyun's voice drifted through.
Taehyun knew a boy once, when he was much younger than he is right now.
The boy was older than him, blond, and his fierce mono-lidded eyes shone as if there were pecks of salt in them.
His name was Yeonjun.
Taehyun met him because he played the drum in the marching band, while he played the trumpet.
They became good friends, having many similarities and equal aspects in life, and moreover, they could relate to one another.
Both of their parents cared more about the Bible than being good to their own child, especially since both of them came out as gay.
And sadly, when they started dating in secret and then were exposed, their parents forced them to break up, leaving two broken hearts.
Shortly after the break up, Taehyun moved away with his family, and the two past lovers fell out of touch.
Yeonjun had no idea how to cope with this, knowing damn well that the reason why the Kangs moved away was because of him.
Heck, he didn't even know whether he'll see Taehyun again someday.
And unfortunately, because he was so vulnerable, Yeonjun got involved into ganging and stealing, until the day he was caught by the police and was sentenced for five years in prison.
Which is why he was in this position.
The moment his parents found out that he was in prison, they cut ties with him, saying that 'this isn't the type of son we raised you to be'.
But Yeonjun could care less, knowing that even though he was behind bars, he was finally free from his suppressive family that took away his one and only happiness.
However, he did get a little lonely because no one ever visited him. So now that he had a visitor, who happened to be Taehyun... it was probably the highlight of his life in recent years.
But is he even the same? So much time has passed... what if we don't get along anymore, like how we used to? Well... just one way to find out.
"How are you?" Yeonjun asked carefully.
Taehyun exhaled.
"I'm okay."
"That's good. How are your brothers?"
"I pretty much had to raise them all by myself. My mom started working as well, leaving me alone with them. But they're two fine young men now, so I guess I did something with raising them like my own kids."
"Ah... your parents must still hate me, right?"
Taehyun shrugged.
"Most likely."
"Why did I expect that?"
"Because my parents are predictable."
Yeonjun let out a bitter chuckle.
"I still can't believe it. You're actually in front of me, and... how did you even find out that I was in jail?" he asked, curious.
"Your parents contacted me when they found out. Of course they didn't miss the opportunity to accuse me of making you do all of this."
"What?! But... you literally don't live here anymore!"
"I know that. That's why I came here, Yeonjun; I wanted to make sure you were okay."
Does she know how proud I am she was created With the courage to unlearn all of their hatred We don't talk much but I just gotta say "I miss you, and I hope that you're okay"
Yeonjun sighed in defeat.
"It could be better. I haven't made any friends here. Criminals aren't exactly the easiest guys to persuade in making friendship."
Taehyun chuckled.
"That's true."
He lifted his head up, to peer at Yeonjun with his doe eyes.
"Yeonjun, do you regret by any chance what you got yourself involved with?"
"Yes."
"That was a quick answer."
"Obviously I regret it, Taehyun. If we didn't split... never would I have ever gotten myself into something like that. I blame my parents everyday... yet I also blame myself for not being strong enough. You must be disappointed in me, now that I'm no longer not like the guy you fell in love with."
Taehyun placed his palm on the glass, beckoning for Yeonjun to do the same. The older desperately wished that this pane of glass wouldn't be between them, but unfortunately, he has no say over that.
"I'm not disappointed in you."
"Y-You aren't?" Yeonjun stuttered.
Taehyun shook his head.
"I wouldn't be saying that otherwise. I hope you know that I'm so proud that you were created, and that you're so brave. It takes a lot of courage to learn from mistakes and accept that you were in the wrong. I'm proud of you for that, Junnie."
Hearing Taehyun say his nickname was enough to clear all the clouds of doubt in Yeonjun's head.
He let out a little smile, a smile he only gave to Taehyun.
"I hope that you're happier today, now that we have finally seen each other again. I love you so much; I never stopped loving you."
Taehyun nodded.
"I love you too, and... I hope that you're okay. Hang in there for me, will you?"
