Sitting in the kitchen, Bernard, Coco, and Quintin jumped when Allie fell behind the counter.
The girl grabbed the counter, shoving herself up. Bernard was up on his feet in an instant, a confused look on his face. "Allie?"
"I hate doing that," she groaned, looking sick.
"What happened?"
Before she could answer, Judy ran in. "We've got a problem. Santa was at the Miller's, but he's not responding."
"Well, time to deploy E.L.F.S." Quintin said.
Bernard stood up quickly, ringing a bell. Judy was hurrying off again. Coco helped Allie steady herself. Bernard turned back to the Calvin girl and asked, "What happened?"
"I...we were delivering presents and then...Charlie." Allie's eyes were wide. "Charlie's up the roof."
"He'll be okay," Coco assured. "The E.L.F.S. will get him."
Allie nodded, though her eyes were still full of worry. "What about my Dad?"
"They'll get him, too." Bernard said. "How come you came back here?"
"I didn't mean to." Allie admitted. "I just...I wanted to be anywhere but there, and next thing I know I'm...here."
Coco helper her sit down, checking the girls head. "Are you okay? You didn't hit your head or anything?"
"I'm good, Coco." Allie said. "I need to go back and make sure Charlie's okay."
Allie stood up, taking three steps before she disappeared in glitter.
Coco sighed, looking at where the girl had been. Hopefully she made it to the Miller's and not somewhere else.

"Ow! Mother fu-"
"Allie!"
Allie held her nose, and barely had time to think before Charlie was throwing his arms around her. His grip was tight, and Allie quickly hugged him back, kneeling so she was his height.
"You're okay." She breathed out. "You're okay. You got down safely. You're good."
Charlie's fingers gripped his sisters hair, tears welling up in his eyes. Why did this feel like goodbye? He pulled away slightly from his sister and asked, "I can come with you, right? You'll both let me come, won't you?"
Scott sighed, causing Charlie to look at him. "I can't be selfish. I can't be with ya all the time. You, me, Allie, your Mom...and Neil." It looked like it physically pained Scott to say that. "And they need to be with ya, too."
Tears fell down Charlie's face. "I'll miss you too much."
"Come here a minute." Scott sat down. "Listen to me. Come on, listen. There's a lot of kids out there. Okay? Millions of kids. They all believe in me. They're counting on me, Charlie. I'm not gonna let 'em down. I got a lot of work to do."
