Chapter 23

I'm sick. Yes, sick. I'm currently laying on the giant couch in the boys LA home watching spongebob with 3 blankets and a box of tissues. I sent Calum to go get medicine, which was probably a bad idea cause it's been an hour and he's still not back. I groaned and slid down the couch so I was slouching. "Hey babes, we're going to lunch and a movie. We'll be back soon!" Alice smiled sympathetically at me as she grabbed Mikey's hand and led him out the door. It was Luke and Ashton's day to write so Mikey and Cal had the day off. So now I was left all alone. I picked up the remote in hopes to change the channel, but Calum rushed in soon after. "I'm sorry it took so long baby!" He rushed over and put his hand on my forehead and started pulling out meds. He started listing all of them and why he got them. I picked up the DayQuil and gave the rest back. "Go put these in the cabinet?" I asked, normally I would laugh but I just have no power. "Baby? Are you sure you're okay?" I shrugged and took a sip of my water with the pills. "Okay so I bought every Disney movie they had, on DVD." My eyes widened as he pulled out about 50 DVDs. "Jesus, Cal!" He smiled and walked over to put one in the DVD player. The first one was the Little mermaid; he walked back over and pulled me into his side to cuddle with him. Within the first 15 minutes we were both singing the lyrics. "Bet you on land, they'd understand that you don't reprimand your daughters!" He screamed out and I laughed. We sat on the couch all day. It was about 6pm when he put in another movie. My absolute favorite, Tangled. "OH MY GOSH!" I crawled into his lap and hugged his neck. "this is my favorite movie ever!" Calum smiled. "I know that's why I got it." I giggled and kissed his cheek, not wanting to get him sick. "I love you so much!" He laughed "I love you more" I cuddled back into him and watched the movie. Almost quoting every word. "Delaney. Shut the hell up" he groaned and I laughed before shushing him. At around 9pm we were in the middle of Big Hero 6. I yawned and snuggled into Calums side. "You ready to go to bed?" I nodded and snuggled further into his side, indicating I didn't want to get up. "I'll take that as you want me to carry you?" He laughed, I nodded and held my arms up like a two year old. He picked me up and carried me into the bedroom, softly placing me under the comforter where he followed behind. "Can we just talk about life?" I asked quietly. "Sure thing, baby" he replied towards me. "What are we gonna do when we get married?" I ask, staring up at the ceiling. "Well first, we're going to prove all those fake people who think we won't make it wrong," he continued, "then we're going to have the most beautiful children and everyone will be jealous" he rolled over pecking my lips. I went to bed with a smile on my face.
When I woke up I rolled over and frowned that Calum wasn't there beside me, on the stand next to the bed there was a note that read, "hey baby, we've headed to the studio in the arena. A car will pick you up at 4:30 love you! Cal.x" I smiled and picked up phone scrolling thru twitter when Alice walked in and laid in the bed next to me. We sat there laughing about dumb things and being mean to eachother until about 12pm. "Wanna go grab some food?" She asked standing up. I nodded and got up to get changed. We walked out and made our way through the crowd of people. When we arrived at a restaurant I looked out the window and saw we were across the street from the stadium. After ordering our food, my attention was directed towards the little TV in the corner. "Alice..." I said in a small whisper, focusing the attention from her to the screen. "Regarding the flight from Florida to Sydney last month, we have found passengers alive on a small remote island. Only two accounted for are confirmed dead, a pilot and an air hostess." I started crying as Alice gasped I got up as the lady on the tele said "we are working on getting all these passengers reunited with their once devastated families." I took off across the street to the venue, tears falling out of my eyes. I heard the screams of thousands of fans for the concert later that night but I kept running straight to the security guard. I showed him my pass and ran through the building. I came up on a recording booth and saw the boys singing. I ran in, disregarding everyone's mean comments about me interrupting and jumped on Calum hugging his neck. "Babe?! What is it?! What's wrong?" He freaked out. "They're alive, Calum! They're alive!" He held me back so he could look in my eyes. He looked confused at who I was talking about. "My parents!" I broke down and he pulled me into a tight hug. "Oh my gosh! I told you baby! I told you they would be okay! When do you get to see them?" He asked, a tear fell from his eye as he wiped mine away with his thumbs. "I don't know, I'm just so excited they're alive!" I hugged him again. "I'm excited too, baby" he pecked me and led me to the dressing room where he made some important phone calls in the backroom. "Well," he swayed in, "you can officially say I'm the BEST fiancé ever". He smirked at me while I looked at him with a questionable face. "In about two hours, you will be at the airport picking up your mom and dad" he grabbed my face and pressed a bunch of kisses to it. "OH MY GOD!" I hugged him tightly. "I can't breathe, but these are my favorite hugs" he choked out. "I love you! Thank you so much!" I said still hugging him. I looked up and pressed my lips to his before resting my forehead on his forehead. "I love you more, which is why id do anything to make you happy" I kissed him again. I turned when Alice swaggered in the room. "It took you this long to walk across the street?" I asked looking at my watch. "No, the food hadn't even come yet so I ate mine and got yours in a box," she handed the box of delicious smelling food," and paid them I walked over here" I hugged her tightly. "I get to see them in 2 hours" I mumbled into the hug. "I'm so happy for you!" She hugged back tightly.
The two hours were the slowest two hours in my life. "Babe, you'll be fine!" Calum said pulling me into his lap. "I'm just nervous and I don't know why" I wrapped my arms around his neck. "Delaney? You ready to go?" Alice asked walking in hand in hand with Mikey. They both had a piece of pizza in their open hands. I nodded and got up, hugging and giving cal a kiss bye. "Good luck tonight,babe" he smiled down at me "I know you'll rock the stage, you hobo" Ashton laughed at my comment. I looked over at Luke who looked at his phone sadly. I'd talk to him about it later but I gotta go see my parents. I smiled to myself, wished the boys luck and walked with Alice to the van. On the ride to the airport, I thought about life. "What if they don't like Cal?" I asked nervously. "They'll love him if you love him" she smiled and I shook my head no. "My dad has hated every boy I've brought home. Oh my god." I gasped. "What?!" She asked worried. "What if he refuses to give Calum his blessing?!" I panicked and Alice laughed. "Delaney, you know Calum better than anyone else. Do you really think they won't like him?" I pondered for a second. "No, they'll love him. Because who couldn't love him he's perfect." I smiled into my lap and sent Cal a text message. ' I love you so much and I can't wait for you to meet my parents!:) good luck tonight and I know you'll be amazing, hopefully we will arrive before your set is done!' I got a quick reply. ' I love you too, baby! And I hope they love me! I'm kinda nervous lol.' I smiled and put my phone in my back pocket as we stepped out of the car and walked into the airport.
