Chapter 9

"I WISH THAT I COULD WAKE UP WITH AMNESIA" Alice, Scarlet and I sang as we mixed the flour and water for the cake. Rachel and Lauren had gone on a double date with Luke and Ashton to the zoo. "STOP THE TERRIBLE SINGING" Mikey groaned, covering his ears with his hands. I chuckled as I grabbed the pan out of the cupboard. "We're not that bad!" I defended our singing. "Of course not, baby" Calum said, pecking my lips. "Whatever CuddleBug" I winked, knowing he hated that name. "Ew, 'CuddleBug'?" Mikey laughed at him, slinging his arm around Alice's shoulders. "Shut up" Calum rolled his eyes at Mikey as I laughed. "Do you think it's funny?" Calum asked walking closer towards me. "Don't even think about it! I have cake batter!" I picked up the dripping spoon out of the bowl. "Is that a threat?" He chuckled. Scarlet went to take a shower and Alice and Mikey were looking between the both of us. As if they were unsure what to do. "Maybe" I smiled and wiped the back of the spoon on his cheek. "Oh god," Alice said standing up. Calums eyes got huge, "You shouldn't have done that" he said getting even closer. He stuck his finger in the batter and wiped it on my face. Alice walked over and took the second bowl of batter. "We need at least one cake made!" Mikey was smirking in front of her. "Do we now?" He took the spoon and smeared it across her face. She gasped and took a hand full of batter and smacking it on the side of her face. I grabbed the bag of flour and took a handful before standing on my tippy toes and throwing it on top of Calum. He chuckled before taking the bag out of my hands and holding it way above him, out of my reach. "Calum!" I yell, jumping up to grab the flour. He chuckled, "Reach for it!" I glared at him in remarks to his short joke. He saw my glare and carefully handed it back before grabbing the water hose from the sink. Alice and Mikey were throwing batter and cracking eggs in eachothers heads. "Those eggs may be the only thing that may save Mikey's hair" I giggled to Alice who laughed. I turned back to Calum who sprayed the hose right as I turned. I stood there soaking wet, with my jaw dropped open. "ALICE," she turned towards me," WHERE IS THE BANANA CHOPPER" she busted out laughing and Calum dropped the hose. "Laney, baby, I'm so sorry! I wasn't aiming for your face." I laughed and tossed another handful of flour at him. He chuckled before putting his arms around me and falling to the ground. "STOP!" I screamed, while laughing. He was tickling my sides. "What the hell?" I heard Rachel from the door way. Cal and I both stopped and looked up innocently. Luke ran his hands over his face, "Why do you guys always make a mess?" I looked at Calum. "It was his fault" Alice and I screamed at the same time pointing at Calum and Mikey. "That is such a lie!" Calum yelled pointing at me. "I believe that Mikey started it, but not Calum." Ash said crossing his arms and looking down at me. I looked down at the ground. "Okay, I started it, but he provoked it!" Ashton nodded. "It's true!" Alice defended me, I looked up at Calum who was shaking his head in amusement that I had gotten into 'trouble'. "Whatever, Mikey, Laney, Clean it up!" Lauren ordered. I nodded and pulled out a rag. Alice and Calum had gone to take showers. "Stupid Calum, getting me in trouble, even though he started it" I mumbled under my breath as I scrubbed the floor. Mikey just laughed at me, "You guys are literally so perfect for eachother, I have never seen a couple get on quit the way you two do." I smiled up at him, knowing I wasn't really mad at Cal. I stood up as I had scrubbed the last spot of cake batter off the floor. I walked into my bedroom and Calum was laying on the bed in nothing but his black skinnies, he was on twitter. I walked past him, to the bathroom, without saying one word. "Are you still mad at me?" He gave me a weird look as he followed me into the bathroom. I shrugged my shoulders and  grabbed two towels and set them next to the shower. I twirled my finger motioning for him to turn around so I could strip down and get into the shower. Once I was in and had the water running, Calum spoke up. "You know I love you, right?" I felt like this was a trick question, I stuck my head out the curtain and both of the towels were gone, and a certain brunette, brown eyed boy. I laughed at how dumb he was, I finished washing the flour and cake mix out of my hair and scrubbing off my body. I got out of the shower and walked over the the closet where there were extra towels waiting. I got dried off, put on some clothes and brushed my hair before walking to the living room. Calum was sitting on the couch with the towels in his lap. I sat beside him and he looked down at me. "But I- But yo- But how?!" He whined looking very confused. "Calum, there is a closet full of towels in the bathroom" I giggled, he groaned and threw both of the towels at me. "Hey!" I yelled, "Thats not very nice!" He smiled at me before giving me a big kiss. "You two make me sick" Rachel laughed from the other couch. "Can we go get sushi and cheesecake for dinner?" I spoke up after a while of silence. "Are you pregnant?" Luke asked. "No! That would require the insertion of a Penis into my va-" Luke cut me off, "Ah, I know how babies are made!" he chuckled. "She could eat that meal for the rest of her life" Rachel spoke up. Calum stood up and pulled me to my feet, "Lets go then!" He smiled. The others decided they would stay behind and order chinese or pizza. Which was fine with me, I love having alone time with Calum. Once we got outside I realized how cold it was, I had my arm around Calums waist and he had his around my shoulders. "It's cold" I looked up at him who smiled down at me. He shrugged off his flannel that was overtop his shirt. He placed it over my shoulders then placed his arm back where it was."I love you!" I said looking up at him with my lips puckered. "I love you, too" He said and pressed his plump lips to mine.
