I waited anxiously until I saw my parents walk through the gate. "MOMMY! DADDY!" I ran up and tackled them into a hug. "OH MY GOD YOURE ALIVE" I cried. They hugged me tightly "my baby!" My mom squeezed me tightly while crying. Everyone around us was clapping. "Hey! Isn't that Calums fia-" Alice cut the fan off "girlfriend?! Yes, yes it is!" I saw her walk over and tell the girl why my parents couldn't know I was engaged yet. "Daddy!" I cried in his arms. After our little reunion I introduced them to Alice and helped them to the car. "So why are you in LA?" My dad asked concerned. "Calums band is on tour and Alice and I have been traveling with them." My dads eyes grew angry. "And what about your volleyball career and your education?!" He was yelling. "Dad, when I got in that car accident I had a career ending ACL injury, and I'm taking all my classes online at Vanderbilt." He looked disappointed. "Oh and how are you doing in those classes? We can't have you fail out of them!" I was taken back. "Honey, stop it! We just got her back. Enough." I wiped away the tear that fell. "I'm actually a 4.0 student" I said quietly before turning around and slouching in the seat.
When we arrived to the arena I got out of the car and cleared the awkward tension. I looked at my watch, "awh! I'm so excited you get to see him on stage!" I pulled there hands with me and ran into the stadium. When we walked up Calum was joking around and being silly. He caught eyes with mine and his widened as he waited for the song to end before running off stage and pulling me into a hug. "Erm, sorry guys it's been an eventful day for Cal and Laney, so we're gonna sing the pizza song!" Ashton yelled. "Calum, " I bit my lip and turned towards my parents "my mom and my dad" I smiled. My mom pulled him into a hug, ignoring the fact he was all sweaty, "thank you so so much for taking care of her" he smiled. "I'd do anything for your daughter" my dad put his hand out. "Nice to meet you, Calum" he shook hands. "You too, Mr. Haase" my dad stopped him. "Please, call me Rick" Calum nodded. "Yes sir, I hate to leave but I gotta finish the set, why don't you guys go grab some food and I'll join you when we're finished?" I nodded and he pecked my cheek before running out onto stage. "He's such a gentleman!" My mom gushed and my father looked confused. "Is that the young fellow from that band you are obsessed with?" I nodded and thought back to all those times her used to joke me about them. "Hm. What are the odds?" He laughed. "He's very nice, but let him hurt you once!" I laughed. "He'd never, dad. Let's go grab some dinner, yeah?" They nodded and followed me to the Cafeteria where One Direction were stuffing there faces. "DELANEY!" they all yelled pulling me into hugs. "Boys!" I laughed, "I just saw you last night!" The all nodded. "Boys, I'd like you to meet my mom and my dad!" They all hugged my mom and shook hands with my dad. "You weren't joking, huh?" My dad asked. I looked at him confused. "You used to say, 'dad, I'm going to be with Calum and be best friends with one direction!' I guess four years of tickets paid off" he laughed causing Louis to Aw. "You used to fantasize about us?!" I groaned and covered my face. "Awh, don't blush love!" Harry patted my back. I sat back in the couch and chatted with Niall while the other boys talked with my dad and Harry talked with my mom and Alice. I smiled, things were finally coming perfectly together. "So, how do you think they like your boy toy?" Niall laughed. "Well in the 30 seconds they met him, he seemed to have said the right things" I laughed as well. "I'm just nervous my dad won't give him his blessing to marry me." Niall frowned, "I'm sure your dad will, you're his only daughter, he'll do whatever makes you happy." I nodded. "Plus, you're 18 now so they can't really stop you from doing anything." Our serious conversation came to a halt as the 5sos boys walked in. Calum came over and gave me a kiss on my cheek, not wanting to show off too much PDA in front of my parents. "I love you" I whispered to him, he smiled and whispered back, "I love you more" I smiled and stood up to walk with him over to my dad and mom who were talking to Ashton, Mikey, and Luke. "1D boys! You're on in 5 lets go!" A stage manager yelled as they all said "bye" to my mom and dad. Luke walked over and sat on the couch after introducing himself. "Say, do you think we could have a talk outside?" My dad asked Calum, putting his hand on his shoulder. "Oh my god, dad!" I whined. He laughed and Calum nodded, walking with him out the Cafeteria doors. "mom, he's totally gonna make him uncomfortable!" All the boys laughed, "now that's something I'd like to see" Ashton giggled. I walked over to Luke and sat next to him. "Okay, what's wrong?" I asked bluntly. "Nothing" he replied with no emotion at his phone. "Luke," I said, gesturing I knew something was up. "Fine," he groaned, "it's just I see you and cal, and Alice and mikey, and I just really want Lauren to be here" I smiled sadly. "Aw, I'm sorry Luke! I didn't know you felt that way, just think how Ash feels ever since he and Rachel broke up." Luke laughed. "That was just a bad idea" I nodded and stood up then searched for my phone. After finding it on the other couch, I took it and went to my texts. 'Hey Laur, Luke reallllyyyyy misses you:( I'll call later?' She replied with a smiley face saying 'okay'. I walked back over to the big group when Calum and my dad finally walked in. "I think he's a good one, sweetie" I smiled and intertwined my hand in his. "Thank dad" I continued, "I don't know bout you guys, but I'm exhausted. Wanna head back to the house for the night?" I asked everyone. They all nodded in agreement.
When we arrived to the house, I showed my parent to the little cottage in the back that had a little kitchen, and little living room, and bathroom and a bedroom. "This will be where you guys are staying. We will just inside up the stairs, so holler if you need anything." I hugged them goodnight and walked with Calum up the stairs to our room. Once we both had showered and were comfortable in bed I rolled over and asked him, "what'd you guys talk about?" He laughed, "couldn't go another minute with out knowing, huh?" I shook my head no and waited anxiously. "Well, first he asked what my intentions with you were," he put my hand up to his, tracing it with his fingers, "which I told him I love you very much and we have a lot in common and I want nothing else but the best for you." I smiled "then I told him, I really want us to have a future, and I asked him for your hand in marriage and explained to him that we got engaged on your birthday, but wanted his blessing first." My eyes widened. "You just asked him?! What'd he say?!" I spit out, and he laughed. "Calm your tits, woman" he laughed and I glared at him. "He told me that he can see we are truly in love and that he's never seen the connection we have with any other guy you've dated, so he gave me his blessing." I gasped and wrapped my arms around his neck causing him to laugh again. "Oh my god!" I smiled. "He didn't threaten you or anything right?" I asked seriously. "He told me that if I were to ever hurt or break your heart that he'll hunt me down in a coast guard gunner helicopter." I laughed knowing Calum would never do anything to upset me, unless he was teasing me. I cuddled into his side and took in his warmth. "I love you, princess" he spoke softly, kissing my forehead. "I love you, prince" he chuckled softly and we both fell softly asleep.
