I let out a long yawn as I stretched in my seat

I let out a long yawn as I stretched in my seat. I looked over at the small clock on my computer that read '9:05'. I grumbled in annoyance as I looked over at the office behind me. I was able to see Dante's shadow through the fog-stained glass.

"He sure is a workaholic," I sighed as I returned back to my task. I had to look over every meeting request Dante had, deny or approve them and then schedule them accordingly.

My knuckles were aching from how many hours I spent typing. I grabbed my water bottle and took a short sip as I read the next meeting request.

"Looks like we will be ending tonight early," Dante said from behind me as he exited his office.

If this was 'early' then I did not want to know what late meant to this man.

"Would you like me to send you a copy of your schedule for next week thus far?" I asked and Dante gave me a nod without even glancing up from his phone.

The least he could do was look at me when I talked to him, I thought.

"It is quite rude of you to not look at your secretary when she is speaking to you," I looked over my shoulder and found the same brunette from earlier today.

She was now dressed in a full white suit that clung onto her curves perfectly. The blazer was unbuttoned displaying the brown knitted crop-top she wore underneath. I looked between Dante and her and they seemed like the perfect image of a powerful, rich couple. I felt a hint of jealousy while thinking of it.

"And I thought I told you to wait for me downstairs," Dante remarked as he slid his phone into his pocket.

The woman rolled her eyes. "That new bodyguard of yours is quite a chatterbox. And young, too. Whereever did you find him?"

"What do you need, Sam? Shouldn't you be on your way back home now?"

"I was, but then... " the woman who I now knew was named Sam, turned to me then quickly glance back at Dante. "Catherine ha chiamato e mi ha detto che Alexandria ha in programma di farti sposare. La tua futura sposa sta arrivando mentre parliamo (Catherine called and told me that Alexandria plans to get you married. Your future bride is on her way as we speak)."

"She didn't," Dante growled as his fists clenched together. I sat there dumbfounded by what the woman had said.

"And you won't believe with who," Sam said rather amused.

       Dante's eyes turned cold. "Who?"

       "Kira Petrov," she said.

Dante's lips pressed into a thin line. He looked beyond pissed. Despite his expression, Sam did not seemed fazed in the minimum.

"Send me the copy and I'll review it Ms Astoria," Dante said as he walked over to Samantha, placed his hand on her back and walked toward the private elevator.
