I watched as the car drove away as soon as I stepped out. I poked my jaw to the side and clenched my hands around the leather handles of my purse. I wanted to go after the car and give Dante a piece of my mind.
"What is the point of being your personal assistant if you won't let me assist you?" I huffed in annoyance.
I turned on my heel, but immediately jumped back startled by the figure standing behind me. I clutched onto my purse tighter as I tried to keep a pokerface, but my trembling body gave my true feelings away.
"What are you doing here father?" I asked coldly.
"I came to see where it was you were staying," he replied. His green eyes turned to the tall building as he smirked. "I should have figured that one of your little friends would aid you."
The wicked look that flashed through his eyes told me the actual reason he was here. I could easily read his mind. I took a step back but stumbled onto a large body. I looked over my shoulder and found my father's bodyguard, Garret. It was not long before two more body guards emerged and blocked any exit I had.
"Now darling, we can do this the easy way or I am happy to bend your hand forcefully. You will quietly leave with me and apologize for your recent rebelling behavior or—" he trailed off as he pulled out his phone. His smirk grew as he swiped through his contacts. "—I can call up my friends in the movie industry and make sure Quinn does not get anymore roles for the rest of his life."
I narrowed my eyes at each of the bodyguards. I knew that I could easily take them out. I did not take four years of martial arts for nothing. However, I knew that my father was not a man to back down from his word and I could not let Quinn pay for my actions. I glanced over at my father with absolute rage. He always found a way to manipulate others into doing his bidding.
"Come on sweetheart, I do not have all day," he said impatiently.
"I'll go with you just leave Quinn out of this," I finally answered and his lips broke into a smug smile.
My father snapped his fingers and his lap dogs immediately took it as their cue to escort me into the awaiting vehicle. I put my hands up and stopped them.
"I can get in by myself," I growled. Garett nodded understandingly and glared at the other two bodyguards to stand down.
I slid into the back of the limousine. My father followed right after me before the door was closed and the car began moving. I could feel my heart racing fast as the blood running through my veins boiled with anger.
