I waited patiently with my arms clasped together in front of me. The eerie silence around me made it harder to breathe. I could feel the tiny droplets of sweat run down the side of my face. The anticipation was killing me.
Now, I've heard there was a secret chord
That David played, and it pleased the Lord
But you don't really care for music, do ya?
It goes like this, the fourth, the fifth
The minor fall, the major lift
The baffled king composing HallelujahAlessandra's daughter walked down the aisle throwing flower pedals, follow by her mother, aunt and the other bridesmaids.
"Just breathe," Myung whispered as the women walked down the aisle and toward us.
Your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew ya
She tied you to a kitchen chair
She broke your throne, and she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the HallelujahI looked over at Samantha who sat at the front row. She met my gaze with a proud expression.
"You did good," she mouthed with a warm smile.
The curtains opened up and every one stood up to greet my bride. I turned from the woman who showed me the idea of love to the woman who taught me how to truly love.
Maybe there's a God above
But all I've ever learned from love
Is how to shoot somebody who outdrew you
And it's not a cry that you're hear tonight
It's not someone who's seen the Light
It's a cold and it's a broken HallelujahI was left completely breathless. It was like all the air in my lungs suddenly disappeared in the second. Stephanie wore a shimmery white gown that shimmered in the light. The sleeves hanged on her arms, exposing her soft shoulders. The corset hugged her upper body perfectly. She looked like a goddess. Her veil trailed behind her, the bottom filled with silver embroidery that matched her dress.
Her blonde hair was curled and styled in a half-up, half-down hairdo. Simple jewelry adorned her body. She was my sweet Angel, all mine and she had chosen me.
I could feel Cupid's arrow burrow deep into my heart as I kept my gaze on her. Her cheeks became rosy from the stares she received. Cute.
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
HallelujahEvery nervous feeling left my body as soon as Stephanie slipped her hand into my mine. It fit perfectly. As if it was made just for me.
The woman who had been singing and live band sat down as did our guests. Again, the silence surrounded us as we waited for the priest to begin the ceremony, but I felt much calmer with Stephanie beside me.
