"I am sorry! I am sorry, okay?!" The brunette apologized as Tomas held him down.
"You should have thought of that before double-crossing me," I replied as I twirled the metal rings on my finger.
"I just wanted you to feel the same pain I felt," Luca cried. "I had no intention of killing her."
I clenched my jaw as I stared at the bastard.
All the possible ways I could kill him flooded my mind. He had to pay for what he did. There was no way he was going to leave alive.
"You caused my wife so much pain," I said slowly as I picked up the knife from the many weapons set out for my disposal. "Now it is time you do the same."
I brought the knife to his neck, but before I could cut his skin, the door swung open.
"Now, now. Violence isn't the answer."
Luca looked completely terrified as he stared at who had entered. His worry grew as his gaze fell to the tray inside her hands.
"No, no, no." He shook his head. "Please. My daughter needs me."
"Well, you should have thought of that before touching my family," I replied as I pulled the knife away.
"You know, it is true what they say. What goes around comes around." I smirked as my wife set the tray down and picked up the tea cup. "Now drink it, or your wife dies."
Stephanie turned her gaze to the woman strapped to a chair only a few feet away. Her screamed were muffled by the tape around her mouth.
"You really deserve one another! You're both psychos!" Luca yelled.
"What was it you said last time? Oh yeah—An eye for an eye, right?" Stephanie gave him a smug smirk as she brought the cup filled with poison to his lips. "Now drink!"
Luca reluctantly drank the tea.
His lips were stained blue and he began coughing uncontrollably. Tomas finally let go of him and he fell to the floor.
"What do we do with him ma'am?" Tomas asked.
"Let him suffer for a few minutes and just when he feels his last breathe nearing and the pain starting to fade away, give him the antidote. Then, repeat the process again. And again, and again until he understands never to mess with us again." She then turned to Luca's wife. "Send her back to her daughter. She hasnothing to do with this anymore."
I stared at Stephanie with a proud smile.
"Yes ma'am," Tomas nodded before he dragged the two of them away.
