Y/N: So! Can you explain the plan again?
Roman: Ugh, kid- this is the last time i'm explaining it, okay?
You and Roman were, what it seems like, taking a casual stroll in Vale. Honestly, it is surprising how no one called any authorities on the literal crime lord walking on the sidewalk. Anyways, back on track:
Roman: While we wait for the real reinforcements to join our operation, we have to make due with what I can afford. And luckily for us, as I have been in this business for quite some time, I know just the man.
Y/N: Oh! Is he some mob-boss like you?!
Roman chuckled with pride at your question.
Roman: He doesn't have nearly enough style as me to be put in the same category.
You looked at him with sparkles in your mask's eyes. He seemed like such a cool partner, you'll be sure to impress him for sure!
Roman: We're here.
You stopped next to him, looking at the building that resided in front of you currently. It was a decently sized cubic structure named "Junior's," which had the muffled sound of music blaring from within. An assortment of flashing lights could be seen peering from the windows, which only made you more excited to see the inside. And soon enough, Roman opened the door, walking in as you followed in suit.
Y/N: Woah!
The place was littered with red lights, the music blaring in the background as many similarly dressed men were hanging about. Chatter, dancing, and of course drinking were seen and heard throughout the place. Unlike you who gawked at everything with an animated twinkle in your mask's eyes, Roman headed straight for the bar at the opposite end of the entrance. Eventually you realised your job, you so quickly skipped over to Roman's side as well.
Roman: Hello ol' pal.
His comment was directed at a man on the other side of the counter, whom was cleaning a glass carefully in silence. The man sighed, placing down the rag and the glass before facing Roman, leaning on the counter. He was a big man with short jet-black hair. He adorned a black vest with a red tie on top of a white dress shirt. His hands were covered in gloves that shared a similar black color as his dress pants. He stared with grey eyes, as if dulled of some light, as his stroked his dark beard.
Junior: And what do you want this time, Torchwick?
Roman: Oh, come on now. You can just call me Roman, we've worked well in the past together, haven't we Junior?
Junior: And I see you've brought some clown with you this time?
You giggled, waving your hand at him as your mask's eyes winked.
Y/N: You don't have to try and flatter me.
Junior inspected you with suspicion in his eyes, and a slight confusion on his face from your animated mask.
Roman: He's working with me for a job. Which, we need to talk about, if you don't mind?
Junior rolled his eyes, gesturing to the seats, which you Roman and you took.
Junior: What can I get you?
Roman: Something velvety, perhaps a simple wine will do.
Junior nodded, quickly fixing him up a glass with he slid down the counter as Roman stopped it with his hand and a nod.
Y/N: Oh, can I have something as well?
Junior: I don't give drinks to minors, or at least I try not to.
