Constellation (Male Reader x RWBY)

Part 11

"Hello, Y/N." A voice spoke.

You opened your eyes in response to the sudden noise. You were sitting down, under the light of...something. The space was...endless, and dark. 

You looked to the direction of the voice, and saw the figure. The figure was completely shrouded in the darkness, their faint outline being barely visible. But, their eyes. Two purple eyes were clearly visible, as if they were glowing.

It was then you recognized who it was. At that moment, you quickly bowed your head onto the ground, as if in a prayer. "Master Moon!"

The figure chuckled awkwardly, "Master... is a bit much, no? Also, please raise your head."

As instructed, you quickly sat back up. "But you are one of the five! Of course I would have to give a proper greeting due to your status!"

'Moon' gave a sigh, "It just feels a bit weird, you know? I'm only like two or three years older than you. Being called master just... doesn't feel right. So please, drop it."

"Yes mast- Moon!" You bowed your head down for a second as you responded, "What can I do for you?" You gasped as you thought of something, "Am I finally getting my first assignment!?"

'Moon' gave a small laugh, "You are very excited I see. But, I am not here to give you a true job yet."

"Aw-"

"Instead, I have a personal request for you."

Your eyes widened in delight. A personal job from one of the five?! You couldn't believe it. You surely were dreaming- well, you are dreaming. He is contacting you through said dream. But that's besides the point! This was a very good opportunity! You could finally show the five just how capable you were!

You nodded your head rapidly.

"I'll give a little explanation then," he began. "This world, before you came here, was actually a testing ground for me. After all, I don't like fighting gods every time I need a world to test things on. Granted, I don't do this whole testing stuff often. But... I was given a few ideas from one of the others, and so I tried them out a bit. This world is a bit hard to monitor though, since the moon is kind of...broken. So, this is where you can come in. I created three creatures, each somewhere in the world. I need you, to get rid of them."

"Creatures?" You asked.

"Mhm. During my time observing Remnant- as they call it- I noticed something. The grimm are the apex predators of this world. So, a thought came to my mind. Could such creatures be used as a resource? And so, with the ideas given to me, and my question... I created three creatures beyond grimm. Three true apex predators."

"But why am I to destroy such marvelous creations?"

"Well, they are... incomplete. In a different world, I perfected the creatures. So these ones... can be disposed of. Think you can do it?"

"Of course! No matter the difficulty of it, as long as the five order it, I shall do it!" You answered with full confidence in your voice.

'Moon' exhaled softly, mumbling to themself. "Being a superior is exhausting."

"Ozpin, you can't keep protecting that boy like this." Ironwood stated sternly.

Within Ozpin's office, he was accompanied by Glynda and Ironwood.

Glynda quickly retorted, "We aren't protecting him!"

"You very much are!" He turned to Ozpin, who was sitting calmly at his desk. "He works with the enemy. He knows their plans, he knows who they are. With him, we can find out their next-"
