How many powerful beings have you faced? And how many times have you came out on top? You were an elite, of the elites. You were strong, quick, intelligent—in certain areas—and you were a master with magic!
And yet, here you were. You were losing to such a great force, with no hope of winning. You believed you had defeated such an enemy, but now it was back greater than ever. Such a being possessed a name, one that brought great fear and despair to its enemies.
Exhaustion.
Seriously, after everything that had happen these past few days, you were indeed tired as shit. At this point, you were wobbling through the hall, just hoping you could make it to the dorm. Your muscles ached, your bones probably hurt, your head and gaze was hazy, and your hearing was muffled. It was like trying to navigate a corn maze after doing a fuck-load of crack.
Thankfully, you managed to make it to the correct door. Just the sight of the closed entrance lifted your spirits slightly, giving you just enough energy to open the door and enter.
The door closed behind you. Though you just figured it must've been some hidden mechanism so you paid it no mind. You were just focused on trying to make it to the top bed on the right side of the room.
It took a few minutes for you to realize you haven't been moving forward at all. Now, you found out you couldn't even feel the floor entirely beneath your feet. Also, why were your arms up to the sides like that?
"Is he like a zombie or something?" Ruby said from the side.
Everything started clicking suddenly. Ruby, Weiss and Blake were standing around you, as if expecting something.
You spoke, "That means, the one holding me up by an arm-lock is..."
"Yup," Yang responded from behind you. "We've got a lot of questions that needs answering!"
"And don't think you can escape this time!" Weiss added sternly.
"Eh? Why can't I?" You questioned with a slight smirk under your mask, preparing to break out of Yang's hold.
However, Blake suddenly asked, "Do you even have the energy to do so?"
...
You tried getting out of her grip, only to find out just how much exhaustion has done to you. You were indeed trapped. While you could just draw a simple hex to help you out of this situation, you didn't want to show them magic. So at this point, you just gave up trying.
"Don't ask anything too personal, please?" You dejectedly replied.
It seemed as though your reply just sparked the flames of the girls, who were now practically overflowing with the questions they had in mind. Though, for your sake, they didn't rapid fire them all at you.
"Let's get the big one out of the way first," Weiss began, "What was that..."
"Monster?" Blake attempted to help finish her question.
"Yeah, monster," Weiss nodded at Blake before turning back to you. "What was that monster?"
Now, begun your test. How could you answer these questions without giving too much info, though still staying honest?
"It was... an experiment," you answered.
"What kind of experiment?" Blake questioned now.
"A predator of the grimm... and I suppose everything else under them in the food chain?"
"There are things that hunt grimm?" Yang asked in slight disbelief from literally right behind you.
"From what I know of," you gave a small attempt of a shrug.
