The days following my so called "accident" were rough. Of course it was right back to school after the hospital, greeted warmly with wide-eyed stares and judgemental whispers. Of course everyone had already heard what happened, seeing as people start to talk when you're In a hospital for 4 days. I wasn't ready to face anyone, but my mom decided that I deserved the torture that awaited me.

Two days in and I was already yearning to fall onto the ground and have my body absorbed into the earth.

Yes, yes let's not forget who's fault this was. (Mine of course.) But I was still wallowing shallowly in my self-induced depression.
My bandages and dried blood were on full display, sticking tightly to my throbbing wrists, as I shuffled wearily into my first period of the day. Biology. Liam awaited me with sympathetic eyes while I plopped myself down heavily next to him.

"Louis," he began, but i was quick to cut him off.

"Let's just drop it." I breathed, turning my attention to the board because class was about to start.

The teacher began calling roll, and while I was I my own little world, I was jolted into reality when I heard the name.

"Harry Styles?"

"Here!"

What? Isn't that the kid I ran into that day? Oh right, he said we had like 4 classes together. To be completely honest he sounds way too enthusiastic for it being this early. And he lo-

"Louis Tomlinson?"

"O-oh here."

A couple people snickered at my confusion, and a bright red blush spread across my face.
God I hope I can make it through the day.

As I was rushing my way to the bathroom before lunch, I ran into someone.

"Seems we run into each other quite a lot, huh?" a warm voice laughed.

Oh shit I know that voice.

"Yea, I-I guess." I stammered.

The silence was awkward and heavy as both of us tried to figure out what to say.

"Listen Louis, I heard abo-"

I let out a shrill shriek but then slapped my hands over my mouth quickly.

He raised an eyebrow, but then sighed heavily.

"I know you probably don't want to talk about it..." He began, but I was still struggling with my words and couldn't find anything to say. "I just want you to know that I don't think of you any differently."

Oh.

"Uh, th-thanks?"

Damnit Louis, pull yourself together!
He breathed out a slight chuckle before continuing.

"So do you maybe want to sit with me at lunch?"

I wanted to say yes, but my mind went into panic mode and I began to freak out. My breathing was becoming shallow and tears were welling up in my eyes. What's happening? Oh god calm down!!!
Harry was panicking too, and was desperately trying to figure out how to calm me down.

The only I could hear was my mind yelling at me to RUN.

I turned around swiftly and started running towards the bathrooms.
