Jungkook

"Have you thought about when and how you are going to propose?" His parents had gotten up to their own activity after, while Seokjin went up to the room. It was just him and his brother watching TV after finishing washing all the dishes.

His brother looks at him for a moment before nodding his head. "I was thinking of proposing him at the beach "

Jungkook hums, kind of confused. "Is that something you think he's like?"

"Yeah. He likes the sea."

"That's cool." He nods, staring at the commercial. He wets his lips, wondering if he should ask what he wanted to ask? About how sure his hyung was about Seokjin.

"Did you get the ring?"

"Yeah, it was taking a while so it will come here. I will let eomma and appa know so they take it when it arrives." His brother picks up his phone and scrolls through it. "This is the ring."

It was simple, a silver band with a space in the center. "Seokjin will like that?"

His brother nods, "Yeah, he is a simple person."

"Nice." He didn't expect the model to be simple. But what does he know. "How are you planning to do the proposal though?"

"Yeah. I am not sure yet. Probably need your help. It's been so long since I came. Do you mind tagging around when we go out sometime?"

He laughs. "I have work, Hyung. I wish I could." He didn't wish that but it's what he should say, he thinks. "I can drop or pick you guys off if you want. Hanging out might be hard. Can't get days off."

"Appa will understand. He can let you have some days off?" Yoongi asks.

"You kidding?" He laughs. Their dad letting him have a break from work would be the last thing. Plus, he didn't want that, knowing what his colleagues might think of him.

"Why are you working as an inspector anyway? Appa won't let you get close to his position?" Their father was the Chief of Busan Police.

He shrugs and sighs. "He wanted me to start from the bottom. And I didn't want to be seen as someone who gets a free pass because our dad was the head."

"Is that what you want though? Become a police inspector?"

He lets out a huff and looks at the other Alpha. "Does it look like I have a choice?" He releases a bitter laugh. "But, then again, I applied to change to a detective," he says. His exam was just a few days before his brother's and the omega's arrival, an exam that left him restless and exhausted. He still didn't tell his father about it. Moving to that position would at least get him away from the old man.

"You do. I had the choice too. Look where I am now. I am doing what I love."

Jungkook scoffs. "No need to rub it on my face," he grumbles, rubbing his face with his hands. "I was left with no choice." His parents were devastated with Yoongi's decision to move out for college although they didn't show. Then, they got even more surprised and upset when they heard the alpha was going to drop out and get into music, do what he loved, and won't return.

Those years had drained Jungkook to the core, which is why he always appreciates his group of friends, including Hoseok, for supporting him and keeping him sane despite him not getting into doing what he loved. Like Yoongi, he liked music. He loved singing as well, but what did that matter if their parents wanted him to be the son who didn't disappoint. He had to keep their face in front of their friends and colleagues. Be the son who didn't drop out, and had a prestigious career.
