Seokjin
His mind felt hazy. All he remembered was the horrible memories pouring in. The ones he tried to lock away a long time ago.
The images of police coming to him, him being wrapped in a towel while they asked questions, ones he can't remember. But he remembered the faces of pity as they nodded. As they told him his mother couldn't live. Or, whether she had shown any past acts of violence or extremities like this.
He was a child. He couldn't respond. Of course he couldn't. Then he remembered...being thrusted into foster care. Because no one came to visit and adopt him because something was wrong with the omega, surely, since his mother tried to kill him.
He blinks, coughing again. He widens his eyes, staring at everyone as they stare back at him with concerned glances and curiosity and confusion. He sees Yoongi's guilt. But he feels Jungkook's arms, arms carrying him up. He hears the younger alpha's soft voice, "Come on, I'm taking you inside." And he lets him. He still feels very confused with what just happened.
He holds on as the alpha takes him to his designated bedroom.
"Wait," Jungkook instructs, settling him down on his feet, grabbing him in case he falls. He felt like falling. "You need to change, otherwise you'll catch a cold." Then, a pair of clothes is shoved in his hands and he automatically grabs them. "Wear it."
He looks down at the clothes, and then when he looks up, he finds Yoongi walking in, worried. "Seokjin!"
He stares, and then glances at Jungkook whose gaze was focused on the other alpha, gaze fuming. He wets his oddly dry lips and opens his mouth. "I'd like to get changed. Can you guys please leave?" Both of them do, much hesitantly, but he shuts the door and begins to change. Sluggish and slow, and very much confused. Very, very much hurt.
Jungkook
He and his brother walk down before he shoves the latter quickly. "What the fuck is wrong with you?"
"He knew how to swim. He told me!" Yoongi says. "I know he can swim."
He furrows his brows. "The other time, he said he couldn't and it was the reason his mo-"
"That's not the truth. His mother killed herself by drowning. Seokjin just mentioned that 'cause he didn't want his mother to look bad. I know, he is my boyfriend."
It angered him. Angered him just hearing that. "Okay, and yet you still ignored the fact that he didn't want to get thrown in-"
"I just wanted him to join so he didn't feel left out."
"His scent proved otherwise, hyung–"
"What? He was wearing scent blockers. He always does. Of course, I wouldn't notice..." his brother tells him, trailing off, giving an odd look towards him.
"What do-"
They hear the door opening and several footsteps. The others walk in, looking like drowned cats. "Is Seokjin okay?" Jimin asks.
Both Yoongi and he glances at the three of them, and then his brother nods.
But he, he just glares at his brother. "Seriously, hyung, Seokjin could have di-"
"Don't you think I realize that? You think I am not feeling guilty over this? Fuck, he's my boyfriend, and I basically dro-"
"Like seriously, what is going on in your mind, hyung? All-"
"For fucks sake, Jungkook. I'm feeling guilty enough, I don't need this now –" then his brother lets out a huff and walks away. Walk out of the house. He sees Hoseok instantly follow with a concerned face, but he doesn't care. He felt angry and scared seeing Seokjin's state. And most of all, it made his chest hurt.
