Seokjin
At the sound of the door, the man looks up.
Jungkook.
"Oh, hello," his manager says from behind. "You are..."
"Jungkook. Jeon Jungkook." The alpha gets up and comes close to shake Hyesung's hand, walking past him but not without giving him a glance.
Seokjin swallows hard.
"I am one of the detectives. Chief Lee told us about this case, so here I am. If you could please give me a rundown of what has happened."
"Yes, yes, of course. Thank you so much for coming so soon. Please take a seat."
With a nod, they take a seat, but Seokjin maintains standing beside the door. Why was life trying to play a joke? Why was Jungkook here?
Hyesung hisses at him to follow and to greet, which he ignores. With a loud sigh, he simply takes his place beside the manager, crossing his arms and legs.
Jungkook gives him a glance then focuses his gaze back on the manager.
His manager narrates the numerous mails he has been receiving to his company, one that caught his attention two months ago. An angry one, despite the letter addressing him as "my sweet love". It was angry, demanding answers as to why he was not responding to his messages and that he would not like the consequences. Then, he had received flowers just last week, which was not uncommon, but recently they were addressed to his address, which was not made aware to the public yet.
Jungkook in front of him was nodding at everything that he was hearing. His eyebrows were pinched and eyes were hardened.
"They are anonymous, you see." Hyesung explains. "I don't know who they are. And Seokjin," his manager nods at him to continue on his behalf. "Go ahead, tell the detective."
Sighing, he opens his mouth, "I haven't met him, I think. Or, I am not sure if I did. It's difficult to understand." He nearly finches when Jungkook focuses his stare on him. The alpha looked as handsome as ever, if anything, the man looked a lot buffer, jaws a lot sharper. Staring back, he glares a bit. What part of not meeting ever again did the alpha not understand?
"Did you experience any odd encounters or interactions?" Jungkook asked.
Seokjin takes the smooth, velvety voice into his one ear and out of the other. Swallowing, he wets his lips, feeling shy under the alpha's gaze. It reminded him of those days when his eyes would meet Jungkook's, making him squirm. For some reason, he tended to feel timid around the man. "Not really. Nothing out of the ordinary."
"I haven't noticed any from my end. Our Jinnie-ah is super busy nowadays with his schedule, so we haven't interacted much with his fans."
Seokjin rolled his eyes. "I don't have any fans," he claims, waving his hand. He didn't want to present himself as famous or arrogant in the presence of the now-detective, who glanced at him inquisitively. He was not famous. Sure, he is beginning to get called for more and more higher-end branded fashion events, but still, he was no way on par with the other likes of Yoongi. He didn't want to make it seem like he thought highly of himself. Because, in all honesty, he didn't.
Jungkook hums, not saying anything.
"So, no close interactions with any fans for the past several months?"
"Yes, no interactions," Hyesung agrees.
"Like I mentioned," he gives his manager a pointed look, "it's not serious. I don't need this looked at, Hyesung," he says, getting up, pushing his chair back. "I guess we are all done then."
