~Dawn's POV~
Mr. Way and Mikey were still at their hotel and Gerard was in a class. I grabbed my scarf, hat and jacket and headed out. I decided to go for a walk to the pond. It was a nice place.
I stepped outside into the cold air. The city was huge. The buildings practically touched the sky and there were so many. People crowded the sidewalks and horns and cars driving by and sirens and talking was happening all at once, and many other noises.
I started walking in the direction that I remembered Gerard and I going. My hands got cold and my fingers were frozen. I fixed my hair and rubbed my hands together and kept going.
After awhile, it started to look unfamiliar.
"Did I go the wrong way?" I asked myself. "Yes, I did."
I looked around me. People, cars, tall buildings. Where was I? "Why did I decide to go for a walk?" I asked myself.
I turned around and started heading back.
~Flash back~
I was about seven and I had ran off and it was really scary. My heart beat quickly inside my chest and I breathed heavily, feeling like there was something following me. The night air chilled me to the bone. I decided that I couldn't do it and I began to cry and run back. I didn't want to go back, but I didn't know what was out there. I didn't know what would happen to me. I couldn't just go to my aunt's, I was seven, I didn't really know where she lived.
My little footsteps echoed as they pattered across the pavement in the quiet of the night. Tears streamed down my face. I was so terrified and kept hearing things.
When I got home, I climbed back up to my window and quickly shut it, clutching onto my chest, catching my breath, glad I wasn't out there anymore. I didn't want to go back home and put up with the abuse again, but I didn't really have anywhere else to go.
~End flash back~
I grunted, I was definitely lost.
"Hey, look." I heard someone say. I quickly turned around. There were two guys walking up to me.
The one who spoke was taller than the other and wore jeans and a jean jacket while the other wore jeans and a hoodie. Both of them looked like bad news so I backed away. One grabbed a hold of my wrist and laughed.
My heart pounded in my chest. "What do I do?"
"She's a cute one." The one with the hoodie said with a smug look.
I started shaking and he pushed me against the wall behind me. "Leave.... Leave me alone." I said in a trembling voice.
"Oh come on, we're just trying to have a little fun!" The other said.
"No please." I begged. "Oh God, what do I do?"
They pinned me to the wall, acting as if it were funny. They tore at my shirt, pulling off my scarf and jacket and tearing part of my sleeve. I struggled against them but they held me down and I couldn't get away.
Once placed his hand on my side and breathed into my ear, making me sick to my stomach. The tore at my clothing, not actually taking it off, because I was able to keep them from doing it. They kept trying to do more but I kept fighting back, struggling, screaming, but they covered my mouth before anyone heard me. It went on for five to ten minutes and it was horrible.
Then they both looked over to the left and then began to run off. I was lucky. Something scared them off before they went any further. Thank God.
