Okay, maybe I did say I would patch up things with her, I never said it would be early in the morning.
Raquel, literally sent me packing back to my apartment so I can reconcile with my best friend.
Seriously, she started it first. I nervously outside the door, before knocking. Once the door, I was met face to face with my six year old who had a bored look on his face.
My heart sank for a minute before I power walked into the house while instructing Nathan to get dressed for our outing.
At midnight, I received a message from Ian.
Ian: A car would be sent to pick you and Nathan up for lunch...
At first, I wondered why he didn't ask if I was free or not and wanted to ignore it but now I wanted to ignore Gwen until I had a clear head, seeing she wasn't going to make it easy for me.
She was on the couch munching cupcakes when I came out our room all dressed. Nathan, on the other was half dressed, I side passed him and packed his back pack before helping him get dressed.
My air pod in my ears blocking out his questions of where were heading to. Seeing I wasn't replying he took off one of the air pod and repeated his question.
I wanted to tease him and say doctor but I wasn't in the mood for his hysteria. His worst enemy was the doctor, how ironic that his father was a doctor.
So I simply ignore his question and took by the arm outside and shut the door behind us. He wanted to throw a fit for a reason I know nothing of but I gave him the infamous Italian mother glares which did the trick.
"Where are you going?" Raquel yawned stretching in a cat like manner.
"Lunch," was my curt reply, as I carried Nathan down and out of the apartment.
A chauffeur was standing in front of a sleek black car. I used to be a car freak growing up, I knew their names by a glance.
"Good morning Miss Ixora." The man greeted before smiling down at a pouting Nathan.
"Good morning," I returned the greeting with laziness. I needed my coffee like right now.
Nathan and I got into the backseat, while he iginited the engine.
"Can we stop to get coffee?" I groaned tapping the car seat behind him.
"Oh, my bad." He chuckled as he took a brown bag from the passanger seat and gave it to me.
Oh, breakfast in the car.
The smell from the bag was delightful, it smelt like homemade but it was still fresh with the distance and all.
I pushed the thought of Jo actually cooking breakfast for him to bring to me, I couldn't put anything pass her.
Nathan was no longer pouting from anger but hunger, his growling stomach made me look at him. I wanted to tease him with it but I was also hungry and badly needed coffee.
I gave him one of the breakfast wrap and a milkshake and I took my coffee.
My heart swelled at the thought of Jo remembering my addiction for early morning coffee and the exact type of coffee I loved.
When we were done eating, we offered our appreciation to the man behind the wheels who just nodded in acknowledgement.
"You're really not going to tell me where we are going, huh?" My six year old asked as he scooted closer to see what I was doing on his tablet.
"Mmh," I hummed killing off the plant monsters.
"Mom!"
"What?" I paused the game feigning ignorance.
