The next day I didn't do much, I was basically just spending time doing housework and playing with James, meanwhile I had always BBC Radio 1 playing in the background, I knew that since Chris Moyles, who was the mainpresenter of the Breakfast Show, was on the Red Nose Climb as well they were going to try and phone in from time to time and I didn't want to miss a chance on hearing anything from or about Gary.

I didn't know when he would call me again, he couldn't tell and I understood, I had no clue how the signal was there, so all I could do was hope.

In the afternoon my phone rang, and I hoped that it would be Gary, but it was just my mum.

"Mum? Hi, how are you?"

"Good, good. How are you? How is Gary?"

I sighed "I'm good, no morning sickness anymore, but I miss Gary. He arrived in Tanzania safe and sound but he is battling with the trapped nerve in his back."

She sighed as well "And he is still pulling through?"

"Yes. I asked him if that is a good idea but he really wants this, and I will support him no matter what."

"I know you will. Listen, if you need anything, just call me okay love?"

"Yes mum, I know. Thank you."

"Bye."

"Bye."

I was standing in the kitchen preparing some breakfast for James and myself two days later when suddenly my attention got drown to the radio. I quickly turned the volume up as I heard them suddenly talking to Chris Moyles.

They talked a while about their first day of hiking and how far they were right now. My heart jumped a beat and I started to smile when I suddenly heard him "But listen, I'm joined by a very special guest, we've managed to get an exclusive interview with Gary Barlow!"

I squealed from joy when I finally heard my husbands voice again after two days of not hearing a single thing.

"Heyyyy how are you doing! Ey listen, that show is sounding fineee without Chris in it", he joked making everyone laugh.

They asked "How is your back now, cause we heard about it not being too well?"

I bit my lip, praying for a good answer.

"Yeah, there's a bit of trouble. But it's getting better and we're all having a great time so yeah."

They chatted for a bit longer and then Chris asked "Gary, you wanna say anything else? Maybe send any messages back?"

"Yeah, just to my wife and the kids, I love you."

I chocked on my tea when I heard Gary say kids, had he really just gone and announced my pregnancy on fuckin Radio 1?! Well you could have mistaken it for the bad connection but my ears definitely heard him say the plural form of kid.

"Dada."

My head snapped around and I'm pretty sure I pulled a muscle, I looked at James, my jaw on the floor "What? What did you just say?"

In the distance I heard the radio playing Patience now when James pointed his little finger towards the radio and said "Dada!"

I couldn't believe my ears and shook my head. I lifted him up and took him into the living room where a picture of the three of us hung. I pointed to Gary and looked at James "Who is this?"

"Dada!"

My eyes began to fill with tears of joy and a smile appeared on my face. James had just said his first word. My baby was growing up and Gary wasn't even here to witness it.
