That's no pressure at all. "Hey babygirl" Momma stuck her head in my doorway. "Hey momma" I said as I sat in my vanity, watching the time like a hawk while I curled my hair with the wand. "You know that checking the time every two seconds isn't gonna make it go faster?" Mom questions as she walked in my room fully.
"I noticed," I laughed, nervously. "Ow!" I winced when the hot curler hit my forehead. Momma laughs and says; "Pay attention". I hummed and stopped doing my hair. "When did Sky say that she was gonna be over?" Mom asked. "She'll be here in ten minutes" I answered as I placed on some bracelets.
I turned around to my mom with a smile and asked; "How do I look?".
"You look beautiful, baby" Momma smiles as she rubs my shoulders, seeing how nervous I was. "Did you know Crocodiles are one of the planet's oldest living creatures?" I blurted out making my momma laugh. "I just don't get why you're so nervous. You guys been glued to each other since thanksgiving" She says.
"Yeah...it's just...it's just different now," I shrugged and rambled a bit; "We're going on dates now then the relationship goes farther into things like special gifts, more social media mess, arguements, possibly other stuff...it's just a lot!".
"Yes. Probably, but right now it's just a date, it's not life or death so...relax" Momma said. I hummed and nodded. "Now, let's go takes some pictures before your date gets here." Mom stated. "Okay, okay." I agreed as I grabbed my phone. We walked out of my room and headed out the back door to take pictures.
The next few minutes had passed by in a flash and a knock was heard at the front door.
I stood up to open up the door and unlocked it. I let out a sigh, twisted and pulled the door open only to meet the beautiful hazel eyes that belonged to my date. "Hey you" I smiled. Sky looks at my outfit and chuckles before saying; "Dakota... wow".
"Thanks, you're pretty "wow" yourself, Katz" I said as she walks in. It wasn't a lie. She looked good, really good. Suits fitted her well. "These are for you..." Sky says nervously as she hands me flowers. "Aw, Sky!" I had a huge smile on my face before taking the flowers.
"Stop. Tulips, my favorite. You remembered" I said. "Yeah...I did". "-Whether you know it or not you talk about them a lot" She says. I hummed and kissed her cheek before I thanked her again. I went to go place the flowers in water and I took a picture afterwards and posted on my story.
