"hey" James groaned as he grabbed his leg. that when he looked up to see y/n sat opposite him.

"oh hi" he said immediately forgtetting the pain in his leg.

Mary just rolled her eyes and went to sit in Lily.

"Hey" y/n smiled back "congratulations by the way, see nothing to worry about"

"worried i wasn't worried" he smirked

"mhm sure"

he just grinned back and has he opened his mouth to say something he was interrupted by a tall figure slumping into the chair behind him kicking accidentally him in the head.

"sorry" Remus muttered

"where have you been" came lily's voice suddenly from next to y/n.

"huh" he said looking up looking confused "oh are just went on a long walk that all"

"mate don't lie we can fucking smell you" james said chocking an eyebrow "your fucking stoned"

"Stoned" y/n exclaimed

"with who" marlene said now the one chocking an eyebrow. "not likely with Mr don't share shit over there"

"what this is a regular thing?"

" you don't know" James said looking confused " that Mr Moony over here is our regular stoner"

"oh sorry mate let the one out the bag there" he said slapping Remus knee.

Remus who The conversation have been far too quick for him to follow gave a small nod and then whipped his wand out and levitated a whisky his way.

"How does he do that" Marlene cried " it's not fair even off his head he's still the best at spells"

By the time she had finished the rant Sirius had returned.
"See your back then" he said glaring down at the slumped boy.
"and of course your fucking high, what a surprise"

remus just stared back at him saying nothing.

"uhhh fine don't reply" he huffed sitting next to y/n on the sofa arm. He was a lot less drunk then she imagine him to be, probably the first time at a party she hadn't seen him shitfaced. She guess it was cause secretly he was very worried as to where remus had got to.

An Hour had passed and everyone was gradually dropping off going up to bed. until it was remus who literally had no clue what was happening in the real world right now and James, Sirius, Mary and y/n left.
Marlene and Sirius were talking about next match and some good moves they could practice while james had moved onto the sofa and was having a discussion with Y/n.

"hey sorry i don't realise he hadn't told you.... from what i gathered he told you everything" " and to be honest i thought you would of smelt it"

"no" she replied still very annoyed at her brother.

"i mean i'm not making any excuses for him but i do know it helps him with pain" James added quickly catching the glare she had thrown at her twin.

"mhm, so does pain potion" she muttered

she then turned to him and looked very serious

" look i know this gonna sound strange" she began in more of a whisper now "but is he okay"

"want the truth?"

"Yes"

" i don't think so"
she dropped her gaze back onto her brother who was watching Sirius with a sad look behind his glazed eyes.

"he .... fuck i'm not sure i should tell you this"

"please he's my brother and he only doesn't tell me so i don't worry"

"fuck okay well his transformations are getting worst as you know" he grimaced " but so is his everyday self... he has these nightmares all the time one where we are woken up to him shouting and screaming"

"and he's been so grumpy and moody more than usual and we'll they have been fighting a lot more" he said glacing toward them.
"i'm don't know and it's just hes seem to get high a lot and i mean to be truthful that been about a year now"

"Really" she said with sadness in her voice

"yeah.... y/n i don't know what happened or happens at your home ... it's the one thing he doesn't talk about to us... but i know it's bad ... he wakes up screaming mum a lot and i mean he's never mentioned her before awake ever... neither have you" he added.

Y/n looked down. fuck oh fuck remus why didn't he tell her it effected him this much. Why does he always act so okay. It had just hit her that she has probably dealt with this so much better than he had and still she was the one that complained about it the most.
