The following morning, I had a gentle yoga session at the break of dawn. Afterwards, I made my way to the café which served a simple healthy continental breakfast. The girls didn't have any sessions until later, so they were sleeping in. I got myself two mugs of coffee and a bowl of oatmeal. I'd just sat down when I felt a presence behind me. Turning around, I saw Shawn standing there with his arms crossed.

"Good morning," I greeted him.

He scowled at me before sitting in the chair on my right. "I stayed up until one in the morning waiting for you."

"Did we have definite plans?" I asked sheepishly before taking a sip of coffee.

"I thought we did, but apparently I misinterpreted you," he said in a low voice so others couldn't hear.

"My friends wanted to watch a movie, and I had no way to get in touch with you. Sorry."

His expression softened slightly. "Yeah, I realized I didn't have your number last night." He pulled out his phone. "I can add you to my contacts now."

"Do you really need my number? We have a few days left here and then we'll never see each other again."

He aggressively shoved his phone back in the pocket of his hoodie. "So that's it? It was just a one time thing?"

I gulped, not because his angry face was intimidating, but because it was insanely sexy. "As opposed to...?"

"I thought we could have more fun while we're here, but if you're not into it, that's cool. Last night you were flirting, though truthfully, Abigail, I'm having a hard time reading you."

"If it's any consolation, I'm struggling to read myself."

He leaned closer. "I want you. Badly. I think you want me, too."

"I do," I breathed.

"Then what's holding you back?"

"I didn't come here expecting to hook up with anyone, and it's thrown me for a loop. I really am sorry if you felt stood up last night." We'd been whispering this whole time, but I could feel eyes on us. Poor Shawn probably had the sensation of being watched all the time. "When's your next session?"

"Ten."

"Let me finish my food and coffee. I'll meet you at your room when I'm done."

He stood up, flashing me a rakish smile. "Eat fast."

I left out that I'd also be taking a quick shower in anticipation of him going down on me. I gobbled my food in record time and within twenty minutes, I was leaving my room, practically shaking from anticipation.

"Where are you headed?" a voice rang out from behind me.

I turned and smiled at my best friends. "I thought I'd take a walk before it gets too hot." This wasn't a complete lie; I was walking to the other wing where Shawn's room was.

"Screw that," Eloise scoffed. "Come with us to get breakfast."

"I would, but I ate after yoga."

Mia put her hands on her hips. "Then just get a coffee. We want to talk about our plans for tonight!" We decided yesterday that we were leaving the resort for dinner.

"I had two mugs with my oatmeal."

El stepped towards me, eyes narrowed, "What are you hiding?"

I knew my poker face stunk, but I wasn't ready to tell them about Shawn quite yet. "Sorry, but I need a little time for myself. I'm wound pretty tight."
