Reign joins his parents as I stay at the table rethinking this whole thing. I am pretending, but what if we have to take this further.
From what I see, fucking half of his family believes this shit and seem very happy about it. Is he really going to disappoint them with the news that this was all arranged?
But now looking at it, Reign seems like the type to not even hold up his end. As long as it benefits him for the mean time, he doesn't care about the outcome.
I see a man walking my way and I try not to maintain eye contact with him until he sits next to me. Great another family member to patronize me.
I look at him and he greets with a welcoming smile. "You must be the girlfriend" he says.
I nod. "And you must be...?".
He smiles. "Damn that hurts, I guess I don't matter to Reign. I'm his uncle in law, my name is Juan. I am married to Evaline Santos, but I was also a Valentino".
I nod. Oh this guy. Reign informed me that Juan was his father's best friend but also his partner for the business. Juan also assisted Rosalía when she was kept here for some time back then.

I try not to panic. This has to be a test.
"Paying me?"I question.
He nods as he looks me straight in the eyes.
"I am in love with Reign and he is not paying me. You're not the only one to test me about my loyalty to him and I certainly won't fall for it" I say in a serious tone.
He smirks. "You're right, sorry about that. It's protocol".
I nod as I stand up. "Now excuse me, I need to find him".
I walk away as I spot Reign talking to his parents and other people.
I join his side and I hook my arm around his. I pull him in and I kiss him. I feel his lips against mine and I knew in that moment it changed everything.
I knew he was taken back by the kiss but he played smoothly into it all.
His hand cups my ass as he pulls me in and we hear a few murmurs as we kiss.
As I pull away, I smile at him and he smiles as well.
We are too fucking good at this.
He faces his parents and I look at them as well. I can see the shock on their faces.
That kiss definitely confirmed their curiosity. It won them over.
